Mikel Arteta, success or failure? - Merged thread.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Max Allegri please.
If we were to go and get Max Allegri FG would need to nick away to somewhere quiet for some..aherm..alone time  :barscarf:

No chance - we need to be realistic about our expectations about potential replacements. I personally would be amazed (and delighted) if arteta goes, but allegri on our budget would be impossible - I'm not actually sure who would be a realistic target for us (maybe eddie howe but that wouldnt get the fans on board I suspect), but poxychino's would probably suit our attacking players, whilst rafa would give our team more structure and discipline (might not be popular tactic given our current lack of attacking threat).

Btw arteta's odds of leaving before end of season dropped yesterday from 4/1 to 6/4

I voted May - I do agree with John F when he say's that arteta will walk because he wont be pushed, but I think that such is his arrogance/belief in his way, that he will stick it out until end of season (at least :speechless: )

On paper we have strengthen recently with Tierney, Gabriel and Partey looking significant upgrades for the first 11.
However the style of play is as bad as it was under the latter days of Wenker, or Emery.

The playing out from the back
The pass, pass, pass, pass philosophy has to stop.

We can’t expect players to do what they are not capable of doing - for some tying their RAINBOW bootlaces is quite a task

Cough cough :proudtosay:

I’ll go for November. What do you mean that’s not an option?
It’s a fix! Stop the count! Stop the count! (and no, that’s not a typo)

I wanted to give the 12 months as an option each but the Poll only allows for 10 options...

A bit like the 1st team and Ozil :?

Is warnock busy, him or dave Bassett are proven at getting teams promoted :?

I'd have either of them ahead of fucking "elite" :coffeespit: coach Poxychinos! Except Warnock obviously.

Yep I'm dragging it out again, his now legendary Colin Wànker commentary on our 2014 FA Cup triumph. Forget all that "they think it's all over" bollocks, this is what commentary is kids......

"Eeh-oop, Mahkurl - lerk at Wenger! Lerk at 'im! Ooh, 'e dernt lahk that! Steve dern a great jerb agernst t'cheatin big t'club, t'blerdy foreigners - ernt that right, Mahkurl? Ee-ooop, Mahkurl. T'big clurbs always cheatin', dernt they Mahkurl." :censored:
