Found some fighting spirit tonight with 10 men

Musatffi should not be in our first team

Martinelli will be a star

Great away support

I’ve noticed in his 3 away games that Arteta has come on after the final whistle to acknowledge and applaud our supporters. Something Wenger hardly ever did. Only a little thing but sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.
Wenger just ignored you even when travelling in Europe with Arsenal

under previous regimes we would have lost that 3 or 4 nil so the fact we showed character to get back to 2-2 with 10 men for most of the game was brilliant to see. once again a clear sign of improvement for me.

this season is all about positive signs and taking little steps forward. this definitely felt like a step forward. the mentality within the team seems to have improved, we don't roll over anymore but we actually fight.

but please, for the love of god, stop playing the same old tried and failed players. you cannot change mustafi so stop trying to. just drop him. some of these players are uncoachable and if we don't have someone in the first team to take their place then promote a youngster from the youth. no more players that consistently let the club down mikel.

UTA!

Keown just said that Martinelli was on trail at United and they turned him down

Hadn’t heard that before.

Apart from Martinelli and Torreira we were total shit but fought hard for the draw.
Leno did well
Ahand Xka when he went in at CB to be fair. Would much rather see him start there instead of that other vermin C.UNT :banghead:

Have to concede on that too - stepped back in and was by and large solid back there. Couple of times he dropped too deep when rest of team-mates stepped up, but that is understandable

Twice I believe - there was a photo doing the rounds of him with Pogba at manure's training ground

Bellend named MOTM.

Xhaka said players felt at HT they could get back in it.

Also, he hopes CB is not his new position ' but the gaffer knows i can play there...'

Mustafi to never re-appear in an Arsenal shirt again but Jesus it still looks like a lack of coaching and cohesion at the back. The disorganisation and lack of concentration is unreal. But fair play for showing some bollox and not folding as we would have done previously. Some pride restored and great night in the pub by the end!

At different stages I thought most of our players did well, but none were great throughout so picking motm would have been hard to do

Thing is you can only coach so much, if no matter how many times you and other people repeat yourselves and it doesn't sink in what do you do, you cant drop the entire defense we dont have enough defensive youth players to replace the 'first' team ones and be the subs too

12 fucking draws, even if we could have turned 3 of those into wins we’d be right in the mix.

No you can't, you cannot even play in your chosen position. Not to be churlish because they fought hard tonight BUT, Xhaka is one of the players we need to get shot of.....one half decent game out of 10 (if not more) for a 35m players doesn't cut it. And letting him slot in at CB as a permanent option is NOT an option at all. He needs to go....as does Mustafi.......and a whole slew of others.

Arteta on changing his mind over subbing Martinelli after Luiz's red card:

"I was thinking about that, but I don’t want to send that message to the team."

There was a lot of hope for Ballard coming through the youth set up does anyone know what happened to him?
