Maybe yeah although compared to some of the nonsensical silences I’ve endured at football grounds over the years (the Pope & Mandela for example ) I’d say not observing and respecting it for the greatest player to ever play the game (by a country fucking mile I might add) would be pretty laughable.

And better than having one or none like those stories of players with broken legs wandering around for twenty five minutes like they always seemed to have in the 50s. When did they let you make 3 subs rather than the 2? I remember when they brought in the 2 subs and the keeper but if you had a keeper sent off or injured you could bring on the keeper but only one more outfield player.
