Are you talking about Villareal winning away and setting up another trophy win for the great Unai :D :barscarf:
He'll get tanked in the final
Maybe so....but at least he'll be there as opposed to the super coach going out in last year's round of 32 to the Greek Rochdale, and no doubt this year to the Slavia team with a tenth of our wage bill

What a man....

I wonder if news has reached the Colorado ranch that we won't be in Europe for the first time in 25 years

Then what ?
The club has already proved by appointing Arteta that they are not capable of making any good managerial decisions.
There is also no money for anyone else. It would mean Kroenke needing to put some money in - good luck with that.

Arteta has to get It right - there is no plan B unless Kroenke is removed

So you don't think an aspiring manager from the Championship or a lesser league in Europe could come in and do better than this bellend?

Seriously - there are managers out there with greater experience than him who would do it for less than what we pay him

If we really are paying him 5m a year then Kroenke has put money in.

Where we are as a club we could pay someone half that and get better results than this

To what end though? Couldn’t give a shit really. Bored of it all now. Can’t see us getting above mid table again in my lifetime and the only way we can possibly go is down from here. The club is fucked. Even in my kids lifetimes the best we might get is a resurgence in 50 or so years, a bit like Burnley or Wolves. People saying “oh they used to be quite good back in the day, one of the big names of English football. Unimaginable as it might seem nowadays”

Like others i'm getting numb to it all, it hurts less and less each week.... i think most of us were expecting to concede after we scored and we weren't disappointed.

Even 3 years ago i'd have been fuming after the performance and result tonight, the performance against the Victims would have had me in a shit mood for a fortnight, now i'm just meh about it.

Even if Arteta were sacked tomorrow it wouldn't make any difference, we wont attract a top manager and the younger hungrier managers would struggle to impose themselves on the players here, the hierarchy at the club would step in to protect their diminishing 'assets' above some mere Manager.

Arteta is a tit but he, like Wenger's extended stay, is ultimately not responsible for his appointment and actually i dont fully blame Wiggy or Josh for it (to a degree) either, there are supposed to be professionals with footballing insight and understanding at the club to advise on these things for example Edu, Raul before he 'quit' so how the fuck did they think appointing a novice manager would wash. Ultimately Wiggy signed off on it, but Edu and others must have backed the call because they sure as hell didn't resign over it........

Arsenal as we knew it growing up is dead and buried, it is now purely a entertainment franchise run by some Americans, unless someone can somehow oust Wiggy we will fester mid-table for a long, long time :rubchin:

Bloody infuriating by Cedric

He was doing it all night though. I know it’s shocking for a professional footballer but he’s obviously not comfortable on his left foot because he was constantly turning back inside onto his right foot and destroying our forward momentum.

Saka is the only Tierney-like replacement we’ve got!

Please reassure me that if United win the competition and qualify for the Champions League or if City/ the Chavs win the Champions League it won't open up more places for English teams next season.

I could not bear to find out we have scraped into the Europa after finishing 9th or 10th. We need a season out from Thursday night purgatory to take stock of where we truly find ourselves as a club.
