Re: Our inevitable Euro exit in Prague Thurs 15th April KO 8pm
The more I read that Martinez-Lite quote about Clive the more I cannot believe this jelly brained gobshite is our manager.
"Now we have to find different ways and the good thing with Granit is that he can play in two or three different positions.
I can see him still playing as a centre-back when it's needed because of his discipline, his commitment and his qualities"
"...his discipline...".
Totally ignoring the rash childlike two footer he put in on Son in an NLD to give the diving fuckpig the easiest penno he'll ever "win".

Look at this quote from the article. Corporate speak bullshit. I said from day one that this bloke is Wenger Mkll and this is exactly the sort of claptrap that he used to come out with. I've always felt that Wenger is advising Arteta behind the scenes.
"The only tangible thing is results. Whether you're doing a good job or not, to judge it externally is only going to be judged with results.
"Internally, you know what you are doing and you can have many different ways of judging that, but, at the end of the day, externally results are the only important thing to give the perception that we are moving forward in the right direction."
Forget the internal judgements Mikel old son, because you're right, we'll judge you by what goes on on the pitch.
This is the quote that stands out the most to me
"Now we have to find different ways and the good thing with Granit is that he can play in two or three different positions.
I can see him still playing as a centre-back when it's needed because of his discipline, his commitment and his qualities"
If ever there was a comment that sums up his ineptitude it is that one
Yep, as DB has also agreed, total bollocks. He's played at LB a couple of times or so (I think usually during in-match positional switches), but the moment he comes up against an even half decent winger, he'll be skinned time after time. If he's ever played at centre back then you'll witness the ultimate disaster unfold.

Auba continues to be the only person in the Western word to have flu, a truly remarkable feat.
No Odegaard either. Big night for ESR, Saka’ Martinelli and Laca.

BBC:
Arsenal are without striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and midfielder Martin Odegaard for this crucial tie. Both were fitness doubts and have failed to recover.
The only change from Sunday's win at Sheffield United sees Emile Smith Rowe replace Gabriel Martinelli.
There's no Gabriel in defence and Granit Xhaka will again play left-back.
Arsenal: Leno, Chambers, Holding, Gabriel, Xhaka, Ceballos, Partey, Pepe, Smith Rowe, Saka, Lacazette.
Subs: Ryan, Hillson, Bellerin, Gabriel, Willian, Cedric, Nelson, Elneny, Nketiah, Martinelli, Balogun, Azeez.

They were fucking shit in the first leg and somehow we've got it all to do tonight. We're going to need to score two because we'll concede one.

Proof again, if proof was needed, that pep's cone boy (c.unt) does not rate smith-rowe as a number 10 Front 4 should have been smith-rowe in the 10 playing behind a front 3 of saka, laca and martinelli - it is that obvious it shouldnt take a nano second to figure it out
Smith-Rowe will be marginalised under this c.unt, and martinelli will be totally frozen out

I'm confused Augie. Where do you think ESR will be playing then?augie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 6:18 pmmcdowell42 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 5:36 pmFull XI: Leno; Chambers, Holding, Mari, Xhaka; Partey, Ceballos; Saka, Smith Rowe, Pepe; Lacazette.

Surely Smith Rowe is playing as a #10 tonight with Saka and Pepe on flanks. Heaven knows why Pepe is in ahead of Martinelli. Will just stroll around while Smith Rowe and Saka run their b0ll0cks off.augie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 15, 2021 6:18 pmProof again, if proof was needed, that pep's cone boy (c.unt) does not rate smith-rowe as a number 10 Front 4 should have been smith-rowe in the 10 playing behind a front 3 of saka, laca and martinelli - it is that obvious it shouldnt take a nano second to figure it out

He will be rotated in and out of the left wing position it seems - if odegaard stays he will be the automatic number 10, and if he goes saka, willian or god forbid ceballos will be in that position
I'm going by his team selections here buddy
