Give it all a few weeks and everything will be forgotten. The TV companies can't afford to upset the big clubs and the written press will be falling over themselves to get exclusive interviews with the owners, chief executives and managers and we'll all be back to normal by this time next month. The amount of ire in the press came solely from the fact they didn't get tipped off until the morning of the announcement and felt like mugs. Give them what they want and they'll be back on board with the mousers, mancs and Pep love-in.
We've had murderers, sex offenders, drunk drivers, wife beaters, violent offenders and racists return to the game without any fuss, so really, is this the worst thing ever to happen in football?

Josh Kroenke confirms KSE will cover any fees relating to withdrawal from the ESL

AK : do you not understand English football, you do not interact with fans, you have no clue, English football is clearly not for you, you should leave

JK : we asked ourselves, what is worse : ESL, or ESL without Arsenal? Also asked ourselves what do the fans want? The global fan wants AFC v Barca as often as possible. English fans want to see more big matches, but you still want your cold nights in Stoke. We got it wrong

AV : the decision was a disgrace, the ESL removed all sporting merit, do you not believe in it?

JK : i am here today to talk, and I echo Vinai’s comments. Leadership is about recognising when you are wrong, correcting and apologising.

VV : AFC not the authors of this proposal, despite what many think. On this project ‘the train was leaving the station’, we made the decision to join. We made a bad decision, a terrible one

AISA: do you agree with the suggestion of fan representation on the board?

JK : I believe in it, this has been an education on the power of Arsenal fans

RH : this whole debacle reflects badly on KSE, do you still consider yourselves fit and proper custodians of our club who can lead us forward?

RH: Are KSE fully aware that the vast majorly of fans do not believe you are fit to be the owners of our club?

The above is a few snippets of the zoom meeting held today with Josh Kroenke

RH : this whole debacle reflects badly on KSE, do you still consider yourselves fit and proper custodians of our club who can lead us forward?

RH: Are KSE fully aware that the vast majorly of fans do not believe you are fit to be the owners of our club?

RH : Do you believe the damage is repairable or will KSE be looking to sell their shares in Arsenal?

JK : We will rebuild, we believe we are fit to go forward with AFC, we were put in a difficult situation by sources outside the Club

(Not clear what he was referring to here)

PH : you said you have betrayed our trust , but let me be very clear, we have never trusted you or KSE. How will you try to improve your relationship with fans?
JK : I want to get back to London, I want to do this. I am aware we never had trust, we need to build a bridge, we will

SG : When the next Super League invite comes along, what will you do differently?

JK : we will consult with fans, confidentiality makes it complicated, but we would gather more info if it came around again

I've watched 2 separate Arteta interviews today - or highlights from them one on the BBC, the other on YouTube .. and the headline or title of one says "Kroenke Apologies to Arteta etc" BBC. The other says "Kroenke has apologised for Arsenal's Part in the ESL" or something like that - But when I watched them - There was no proof Video or otherwise (printed statement etc) of The WiggyCUNT apologising.. There is mention of the CEO apologising to someone...But Not to Arsenal Fans...

Kroenke is a spinelessCUNT - with NO Shame - Okay so we all know that the other Prem Club Owners involved in it have "Apologised' by the various outlets, Club Websites and other Social Media...purely to try and appease their fans in the hope of limiting the Financial Damage; sale of merchandise etc But CUNTAKROENKE (Thank you Lenny Henry for that) hasn't even done that - It looks like he has fobbed off some kind of PissPoor, lame and underhand attempt at "Apologising" to that Odious Toad and his Pet Gimp Venai Venkateshum (sp?) ...

And this statement by the club just reeks of business as usual bullshit what a .BUNHofCUNTS :box: :cussing:

AFC:

The last few days have shown us yet again the depth of feeling our supporters around the world have for this great club and the game we love.

We needed no reminding of this but the response from supporters in recent days has given us time for further reflection and deep thought.

It was never our intention to cause such distress, however when the invitation to join the Super League came, while knowing there were no guarantees, we did not want to be left behind to ensure we protected Arsenal and its future.

As a result of listening to you and the wider football community over recent days we are withdrawing from the proposed Super League. We made a mistake, and we apologise for it.

We know it will take time to restore your faith in what we are trying to achieve here at Arsenal but let us be clear that the decision to be part of the Super League was driven by our desire to protect Arsenal, the club you love, and to support the game you love through greater solidarity and financial stability.

Stability is essential for the game to prosper and we will continue to strive to bring the security the game needs to move forward.

The system needs to be fixed. We must work together to find solutions which protect the future of the game and harness the extraordinary power football has to get us on the edge of our seats.

Finally, we know this has been hugely unsettling at the end of what has been an incredibly difficult year for us all.

Our aim is always to make the right decisions for this great football club, to protect it for the future and to take us forward. We didn’t make the right decision here, which we fully accept.

We have heard you.

Fucking scum blamed the pandemic for not engaging with the fans.

They promised 10 fucking years ago that they would engage and are now trying to hide behind a pandemic that began last March.

Fuck off out of our club you fucking rat scum.

So with Perez at Madrid saying it isn't over and that its not as easy as clubs just walking away there could be contract breaches to contend with.

Josh Kroenke saying that KSE will cover any such costs which could amount to millions and millions.

Let's hope there are a few law suits coming in from Madrid. Stan massively out of pocket has to be a good thing. :barscarf:

The statement that confirmed our withdrawal was signed “The Board”.

The fucking cowardly, snivelling bastards couldn’t even own that.

They don’t give a fuck about us, they’re not sorry, they’re fucking gutted it’s not going ahead.

Barcelona release a cry baby statement now. The only good thing to come out of this is that Madrid and Barca are completely fucked without it.

They went so far down a financial black hole over the past few years and they thought this thing was their get out of jail free card.

Watching it collapse is like watching their clubs go up in flames.

Fucking delighted :barscarf:

Stan being massively out of pocket is not a good thing if the Kroenkes have clearly stated they have no intention to sell, he might have to pay fines or whatever out his own pocket initially but you can absolutely bet your arse he will get that money back one way or the other :banghead:

I’m hearing that JK and SK can’t work out how to monetise Arsenal anymore. They own a loss-making sinking ship. The SL was their golden ticket but someone has burnt it to smithereens.

Rodders, you say that is sounds like they are getting a grilling, but look at these questions clearly -

"Do you believe the damage is repairable or will KSE be looking to sell their shares in Arsenal?"

"this whole debacle reflects badly on KSE, do you still consider yourselves fit and proper custodians of our club who can lead us forward?"

Nice soft questions I would suggest - perfectly designed for wiggy's son to tell everyone that they will fix the damage and that they are the right people to bring the club forward. Did the people asking those questions expect a different answer, or were those questions set up beforehand ?

"When the next Super League invite comes along, what will you do differently?"

Again wtf is that question all about ?? Instead of being a man and standing up and telling the sleezy c.unt that there better not be a repeat of this or there will be the same reaction from the fans, the guy asks a nice soft question which is no way, shape or form tells the c.unts that moving to the esl will not be tolerated - kroenke is then able to ass kiss the fans stating that they will consult with fans in the future, but the question should have shut the door on a future invite

There were a few good questions and statements tbf, but the above questions are far too nice imo to register the depth of anger that we all feel

Someone asked at the forum was the £8m exit fee accurate. Vinai said it was a far smaller amount than that.

Chicken feed money for Stanley so I wouldn’t worry about that aspect.

The comment about how daddy will be covering whatever costs are associated with this is also pissing me off - prior to last summer the wiggy c.unt never once put his hand into his own pocket to help fund purchasing some badly needed talent, and now he is going to pay the fee's here ? Please fcuk off and die
