Potential Takeover

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

John Cross is a 60 year old David Ornstein. Two generations of tossers.

I read somewhere that unless the WWC (as you refer to him :D ) receives an outstanding offer he isn't likely to sell. Daniel Ek's offer is far from outstanding and the WWC doesn't need money, he has loads already.

There should be some sort of rule that unless you have an active interest in football you shouldn't be allowed to buy any club.

The analogy I would use is like buying a house. He bought Arsenal for top dollar but the market has continued to rise and so the house has gone up in value with the market.

The problem is that he hasn’t invested in the decor. It looks dated. The roof is starting to leak and the garden is overgrown. Other houses in the street look more attractive and are going for more money as the owners have done them up. Unless KSE start maintaining the property we will have the local tramp move in to this derelict house. We also have rats and a pigeon infestation. Oh. And the house is starting to subside having stood proudly on the same plot since the early 1900s.

Quality analogy mate! 8)
Kronke still wont sell...Just wont happen

The thing is why not?, the club is losing money and not just because of covid, unless he invests huge amounts this will continue, is he just being obstinate because the fans dared to criticise him?, seems unlikely for someone who doesn't give a f*ck other than making money.

I have to believe with the right offer that the wig wearing parasite will sell, if not then the club is dead, I just can't get interested in a club with no ambition that isn't even trying and is just some sort of property investment for the Kroenke family, I'm not sure if I have respect for those who can, or whether I pity them.

This truly is 'boring, boring Arsenal'.

I get the feeling he is the sort of person who would drive the club into the ground and lose a ton of money over it instead of ever admitting he is wrong about things :rubchin:

TBH the way he thinks is that he owns an English 'soccer' club that has a half decent history and that's about as far as it goes.

5. Stan Kroenke: 1.4 million acres in Montana and Wyoming. The real estate mogul is also owner of the Los Angeles Rams and married to Ann Walkton Kroenke, an heiress to the Wal-Mart fortune.

Guess he doesn't need the money .
