Euros / Ingerland Hype

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Must be gremlins mate. I got a notification about One Bard's post and he hadn't quoted anyone in it. Just seems to be this thread too.

First World problems eh.

It’s shameful, I’d write a strongly worded letter to the management about the standard of modding on here - usually gets things sorted

One Bard Gooner... your last post. Fucking disgrace, hang your head in shame you 🤬🤬🤬🤬. But people like you will never get it even though sure you've played football at a decent level......fucking never!

Mods allow this shit.... this shitehole site closed down soon I hope.

So smart arse OBG.... my daughter is 14, plays for her Club and an EFL League team. Scored 44 goals in 14 games and league top scorer I was ok but she is a different level. She's not a lesbian (but so what if she was you mysogentic/stupid *word censored*).

I hope you don't have kids...if you do, god bless them.
I do have kids actually one's an architect (very successful) yes SHE is... the other two very successful in their chosen lifestyles/careers..

As for girls / women playing football or any other kind of sport - of course I am 1,000% for it - but it cannot be made what it isn't overnight.

There is a huge gap between the different genders sports as there should be - different body strengths etc etc etc..

What P's me off is the hypocrisy of how they try and make out the mens and women's football should be on an equal footing. It cannot be - maybe in 20 - 30 years women's football will be on par crowds / wages etc BUT there are so many (particularly the media- and many of the ex-women professionals in the media) who seem to think it should automatically be given the same status now.

That cannot happen because it isn't.

As for my homophobic comment I apologise, anyone who knows me will tell you that was not serious - I was pissed (literally) and I was venting about the dysfunctional media and the way they pander to the whatever seems to be popular and at the moment it is to women's football for the Wrong Reasons.

How often have you had to listen to a female pundit talk about football and talk nonsense? - Also there is a disparity there because it seems to me that the (so called) good looking one's get the jobs! Rodders will tell you that as well.

As for your daughter? good on her (seriously). Maybe she will make a living from it, the important thing above all else is that she enjoy it and be given equal and every chance in her sport/s.

btw: one of my favourite players is Vivianne Miedema - we could use a player with her skills, calmness in front of goal and ability to destroy defence sin the mens team...but hey what do I know.

peace out.
nice response, but totally undermined by the highlighted part and thus unbelievable because of 2 words: Karen carney!!!
I was generalising, however I take your point, but there's always exceptions to any rule mate.

i was one of 8 that went to scotland at hamden b4 they went to WC 78 ,these were times when you didn't go to Scotland if you were English .
We got 40 tickets from the FA but the rest suddenly remembered their grannies were dying and couldn't make it.
We were in trouble b4 we even left euston ,smartly dressed and not drinking mcweans pish or whisky stood out like sore thumbs 2 Arsenal 1 Millwall2 spurs 3 west ham .
We boarded one of the specials leaving at midnight getting on early sitting at the front we had to defend the position from carlisle onwards !
We sold the spares to touts in the george hotel the only safe place for a drink in town,it paid for the trip and some.
After keeping quiet the whole game in the open end silly bollocks me jumped up when we scored ,the scots then threw bottles that missed us hit other scots and a huge punch up ensues with the scots all battering each other as we eased our way out of the melee
Just as we thought we were ok a group of motherwell boys sussed us ,they were in awe that 8 of us braved it and took us under their wing ,these were big lumps older lads and our luck was they seemed the only people in the crowd who didnt hate the english . they got us back to station and we boarded an empty special and went quickly home ,we kept in touch for years ,sadly only 3 of them are still alive . I dont hate the scots after the that quite the reverse I have bundles of respect for those guys and the celtic crew we first met at sammy nelsons testimonial.

Went there 8 years earlier , just jeans and T shirts and jacket . Got off train and started walking , found a pub a couple of drinks asked for the quickest route to the ground . The barman said the quickest route is about ten minutes away but the safest is 25 minutes . We took the safe route .
At the end ofthe match we were escorted to the station by police and thrown on the first train out of Glasgow .
Never been back.

It was pretty poor, to be fair. Germany saw plenty of the ball (when they were chasing an equaliser) but did sod all with it. Always looked vulnerable on the break (the French having two disallowed goals after their first, both predictably resulting from the German push for an equaliser). Some of the German players look way over the hill. As Clummo said above, Hummles v Mbappe was hilarious, but also embarrassing.

The Germans aren't a force this year, at all.

What is the world coming to when you are no longer allowed tell another player that you f*cked his mother ?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... macedonia/

Apparently telling the macedonia player that he fcuked his albanian mother is worthy of a one game ban

Oh ffs. I've fucked so many peoples mothers.... 8)

I once told an oppo player I fucked his mother. He responded that his mother had just died. Gobshite that I am, I thought he was bluffing and responded "yeah I know, she choked on my cock".

Now this kind of shit (and worse) would be said every game but the fucker rabbit punched me from the side - and he was wearing a signet ring. A full on 22 man (plus coaches) melee ensued. Lots of suspensions followed. I had a knacker signet welt on the side of my cheek for about three days.

To my eternal shame it turned out his mother had actually died about a month earlier. Even my own teammates cunted me for that one.

I did go up to him and apologise before the return fixture but the damage had been done. He gave me a pretty forthright "go fuck yourself" in exchange for my apology. Thankfully my manager left me on the bench for that whole game.

That's real good banter :high5:

When I used to play in a Saturday league there was a local derby the teams from the same area - literally the clubs/social venues were about 500yards away from one another...and there was as usual the mother of all Kick-offs about 5 minutes from time we were winning 1 - Nil...and this cuntt punches me in the back of the head....and I am seeing f'ing stars...anyway the ref stops it and we all separate and when the final whistle went - of course as you'd expect it all started again...I am looking for the cunnt who sneak punched me and he is grappling with our goalie, so I double foot kung-fu drop kick him from the side he goes down and the goalie 6ft+ just falls on him and this cuntt can't move so I rammed my finger up his arse...He SCREAMED... (not with pleasure) the goalie peels off him and says

Aaaah! yer pussy I hardly fuckinn touched you...The cunnt starts "Crying" - as in "Sobbing"

(I should say at this point that there was a pair of shorts - his - between my digit and his orifice) but about 99% of his shorts went up there!:D
