Respect to Hibs for the Saka shirt.

Hibernian have being wearing white sleeve shirts since the late 1930's like The Arsenal!
I still can't forgive them for Peter Marinello though!

https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/ ... 0s-3306187I forgive them as my first few seasons at the old ground in the West Stand Terrace was spent watching Johnny MacLeod . I was distraught when Billy Wright sold him to Aston Villa and kept Alan Skirton.
Another one was Alex Cropley who just stayed for a short while before moving on.

West Stand Terrace, that must have been rocking when there was a big crowd. Sorta like The Kippax or The Shelf at the old swamp.
My first season was 69-70, we had the WSL wooden seats by then.

West stand upper was where the old season ticket holders went into retirement . Saw a couple carried out over the years.

I remember a night game against the Spuds in October 1963, Left school and went straight to Highbury queued up outside the small entrance to the West Stand in Highbury Hill.Almunia is a clown wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 2:53 pmWest Stand Terrace, that must have been rocking when there was a big crowd. Crowd recorded at 68,000 but I still reckon there were more than that as the crush at the front of the terrace by the corner with the Clock End was so bad that the St John's Ambulance were overworked rescuing fainting children and adults . I ended up sitting on the cinder track on the corner by the half time scoreboards.
Still lives in the memory.
