The Lager vs Real Ale debate

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I go through phases, of about 6 months where I'll drink only lager, then only real ale, then cider, then guinness. But, seeing as it's caused so much upset with certain forum members, I'll have to say lager.

I'm a lout, what can I do

Lager naturally but it has to be premium ie none of that fosters,Carling,Carlsberg rubbish.

Staropramen, Herlimann, Belgian Stella blows the Bitter away.

premium largers i like,but refuse to drink the likes of fosters or carling etc.
right now im trying out as many real ale drinks as i can and tbh they have far more flavor than any lager on the market.

my favorite of all is samuel adams ,better draught than bottled ,but ive never seen it draught other than usa.

I drink smirnoff ice cos i'm a girl, and girls that drink pints are common! and beer is disgusting anyways :P

Kilkenny beer (yes im biased) beats it though!
Just out of interest why isnt cider on that list?? bulmers/magners (not bulmers 'original') is top stuff....shame the pubs cant get it into their heads that the bottles arent meant to be chilled!! Thats what the ice is for!!

Ooohhh Kilkenny beer is quality. I've only ever seen it in 2 pubs though, one in (oddly enough) Kilkenny, and one in (slightly odder) Venice.
I do like that beer.
