Why does everyone hate Eboue?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I keep reading on here and other arsenal forums about a dislike towards Eboue and I dont really understand why?

He can defend...watched his have Robinho in his back pocket last night on Arsenal TV for example.

I dont see what's wrong with his attacking? He takes on players with ease sometimes...his little stand still for about 10 seconds and then knocks it round the defender. i.e. on Cashley Cole.

And whats wrong with diving? I dont see what the big deal is. If your team gains an advantage from it then surely its all good?

I cant wait for a day when Eboue dives in the last minute in the penalty box which leads to RVP smashing home a winner against United or something and see what you say then.

That was a club cock-up and not really his fault. His shirt was damaged and the only spare available had short sleeves.
