Bentley

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Bentley

Post by flash gunner »

Our old mate Bentley is joining sp*rs today for 17 million (HOW MUCH!!!) and 40% of the tranfer fee goes to us as it was written into the deal when he signed for Blackburn, well done whoever did that bit of business..... Well my maths says we will get 6.8 million out of it Come on Arsene spend it on someone :barscarf:

The club will definitely spend that so don't worry. By the end of the day block 18 will almost be paid for

How much do we have to spend? If Hleb paid for Nasri and we got 1m for Gilberto we should be 1m up plus Bentley Money, Take away Ramsay should leave us 2.8m up. Did we have a basic transfer fund in the beggining of the window if so how much?

I'd much rather they got the arrogant Arsenal reject that is bentley and arseshavin than david villa who I was really worried that they would sign 8)

cant see them going for arshavin now, or villa for that matter, they have dos santos for keane and now bentley for the right, if berbatov leaves then they might sign another forward and guess no one wants darren bent so he might get a few games next season

Fucking right, augie. David Villa would be a hit in English football whoever he plays with, Arshavin I'm not so sure about.

I don't have the problem with Bentley many gooners do, and this would be a good move for him. The fact that we'd get +£6m helps. Spurs will be strengthened, but they still look significantly weaker than us.

And by the way, we also got sell-on cash for Muamba's move to Bolton, though I can't remember how much it was supposed to be.

Do you want us to sign Bentley?

They can sign those players whenever they want, non of them would get a start at Arsenal.

Don't turn this to another pessimistic post, please.

Since when did Bentley become a bad player, I always rated him

The entire month of August gives me hope that we will secure a midfield general and a good defender which are the two most important areas we need to fill right now.

As I said before Spuds are showing more intent than us and to be honest, it is worrying :?
