We watched Apollo 13 last night.
Amazing film on how the spacecraft and crew were brought safely back to Earth :barscarf:
I remember one of the experts saying "We have a computer as big as a room doing millions of calculations"
There is more computing power in your phone now than that computer then.

I know to most of ye kids this probablyl something ye know nothing about :-P

The computer they used to put man on the moon in 1969 had the computing power equivalent of a modern pocket calculator! These kids nowadays have no idea!
Fuckkk Yeah! They've got all this techno knowledge and powerful gear and they can't even string 2 feckinn words together :D

Yoof Huh no wonder we are fuckinn doomed as a species... :?

I didn't even know this film existed, it came up on Netflix so I thought I'll give it a go. It turned out to be Excellent:

"Body Of Lies" with Leonardo DiCaprio - who, I didn't rate till I saw Wolf Of Wallstreet.

Highly Recommend Body Of Lies *****

The "Elvis" film has "wow" factor that I haven't seen at the cinema for years. Although I'm a huge Elvis and watched it with a highly critical eye the film delivered more than usual stuff you see in Elvis films. Both Austin Butler and Tom Hanks delivered outstanding performances, and one of them must surely win an Oscar. In my view this blows Bohemian Rhapsody away for film biopics.

Richard Jewell on prime.A clint Eastwood-directed true story film about the Security Guard who discovered the Atlanta Olympic Bomb and became a hero after saving lives by warning people. He then became suspected of planting the bomb by the FBI and the press and his life became a shit show.

Can’t beat the old classics, I also watched the dam busters - didn’t realise that Barnes - Wallis, who designed and built the bouncing bomb,💣 had already built Wellington bombers, what an incredible input that man had on the British war efforts.
