Netflix movie 6 Underground with Ryan Reynolds is very enjoyable. Not a cinematic or cultural classic obviously  but just really good fun with some superb action, violence, set pieces, and a couple of brilliant one liners.

Saw the latest Tarantino last night. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I loved it. Real homage to the late sixties film and television industry with a clever mix of fact and fiction. Very(!) violent ending, even though it's a bit tongue in cheek, it really makes you wince! Great soundtrack as well. Recommended.
Tbh I thought it was a tad overlong for no real reason that served the story but I also really enjoyed it. He really captured a certain vibe of a place in time didn't he? The way he (and the actress) built Sharon Tate's character made a certain key scene (don't want to spoil it) feel just so good and right. 8)

Watched "Darkest Hour" yesterday, starring Gary Oldman as Churchill, a Towering Perfomance...Great Directing/Music etc the whole shebang.

Definitely worth watching.

Yeah! Good enjoyable nonsense...what was amazing was the way the baddies were getting killed - slow Mo etc ...I lost count of how many BMW's etc they wrote Off.

Might already have had a mention, but The Irishman on Netflix, although a slow burner, particularly at the start, really is good. Jumps around a bit time wise, and maybe too often, but a great cast, and brilliant recreation of the 60s and 70s. Worth a watch (maybe over 2 or 3 shifts as very long!)

If you enjoyed the film then try the book, it really is an insight into the Mafia, Hoffa, JFK etc. The timeline is chronological so without the jumping about and the account of his wartime experiences is really interesting. Enjoyed the book more than the film tbh.

6 Underground was a good shout thanks - enjoyed it.

I am a big fan of scorsese but just couldn't get into the film...don't know why, it just felt 'Meh'. :?

It was a slow starter but you should give it another go as it really gets better.

Just watched the new film APOLLO 11.

Utterly Brilliant...they say 'footage till now unseen' ...

Okay, so we all know the story , the outcome ... but this film is truly a work of "Art", I cannot recommend it enough....The best thing I have seen in a long while...

Messiah on Netflix was good it made you think if someone like Dennis Bergkamp who people claimed was the 2nd Messiah really did turn up and how the Authorities would deal with it.Good twist in the story.
