Richard “woody” Woodcock

A fellow Gooner, I knew, but never met, through ArsenalLand had many a conversation with him.

He died a hero, trying to protect a neighbour’s young son.

His favourite drink was Sailor Jerry’s rum, tonight I will be having a rum in your honour mate 🥃 RIP.
What a tragic loss of life. Good on him for doing the brave thing and not walking away. Such a huge shame it cost him his life. RIP Gooner.
Absolutely

Paul Mariner has passed away only 68 was a real character old school player played hard, partied hard especially as a Gooner RIP.

Really start feeling my age grew up watching him in the early 80's 60 games for us 14 goals.

He was a Ipswich legend and at his peak a good international player.

Sad news. I too remember that era fondly.

RIP.

Indeed, probably came to us slightly past his peak - part of the Ipswich team that is legendary in Suffolk, (they don’t win much) that secured an FA cup victory and also the UEFA cup and should have won the league in 1981, coming 2nd to Villa.

Think Mariner played as an emergency centre back on a couple of occasions for us too.

Sad news, and as mentioned by Topside Northbank, you start feeling your age

Remember to live your (best) life as full as you can, do the things you want to do, while you are young enough to enjoy them, cos one day it will be too late.

Unfortunately Danny Bailey aka Crocit has passed away. Don't know the details but believe he was in hospital with COVID since early this month.

I'll always remember how welcoming he was on my first few trips to away matches when I knew very few and he always had time for a chat.

RIP.

RIP Danny. A true Gooner but first and foremost a very genuine guy. Such a sad loss.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear this. :(

Crocit was a much loved poster on here back in the early days. And a great bloke too. I met him at one of the first Online Gooner get togethers in the Gunners pub. He was great fun. 8)

I'll always remember him on here asking advice about the various cities he was going to see Arsenal in, wanting to know where the best strip clubs were!

Rest in peace Danny. True Gooner.

My condolences to you and your family Stuart

Gutted to hear about Danny

One of those characters who makes your fan base more vibrant, nearly
everybody knew of him and hundreds if not thousands would be on speaking terms with him

a sad loss for the AFC family

RIP Danny Bailey

Sean Locke, a truly great comedian.
Seen him a couple of times, really great wit.
