All I know is the sooner we get McDowell's transfer rumours back the better - we're all over the rumours today. But of course I don't believe any of them. I mean - we'd never sell one of our best players when he reaches his peak years to a top European club and look to bring in the odd teenager or two. M'Vila would make the perfect Arsenal signing right now.

1) He's ineligble to play for the national team till June 2014, so no chance of injuries while on duty.
2) He has a spoiled reputation, so Wenger must be able to get him on the cheap.
3) He's a defending midfielder. Yes, a proper defensive, holding midfielder.
4) He's speaking the language of the squad. French.
5) He's young, so has some space and time to develop in a wordl class player. With a view to a lucrative move to another club.
