James Mc Clean Irish SPOTY

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

James Mc Clean Irish SPOTY

Post by goonersid »

Has had a lot of bad press, but as well as showing a lot of “ more gifted” footballers what passion and pride can do on a football pitch, he is also a selfless lad whose charity work both back home in Derry and in the Birmingham area where plays his football is beginning to let people see what a genuine person he is.
So congratulations James!!

Did he really win?

Surely there must be sportspeople in Ireland who achieved more than a bloke who's played 13 games for a shit team at the bottom of the PL?

Strange choice, equalled by the strange choice of a showjumping team.as team of the year..Supposedly done on a public vote. Not sure what to make of McClean he divides opinion but you couldn't doubt his passion. In answer to the original question, there are better choices than him for Sports Person of the Year in purely sporting terms.
