well done Leicester City - worthy league champions

however at risk of sounding like a party pooper I am starting to find the reaction to their win a little OTT.
they are not a "normal little club" - they are backed by a Thai billionaire (who actually gives a shit about the club unlike our absent billionaire owner) Have they really achieved more than for example Blackburn Rovers who won the PL title 20 years ago?

and what about Nottingham Forest who 40 years ago backed up a league title win with back to back European Cups?

a great achievement yes, but their win is more a reflection of the vast wealth coming in to the PL for all clubs, not just the elite few, than anything else.

Seriously, people want bans for that? No wonder football is so fucking girly these days

I would kill to see Arsenal play in a game like that one last night instead of the never-ending one-paced dross we see in the sea of meaningless games we take part in.

I think Sky show netball if people are into that sort of thing :D

Leicester havent spent much on players even if their owner has money. Blackburn spent a lot of money to win the title. Without players like Shearer they would never have won it.

Forest is a better comparison and its strange because there were a couple of documentaries on about them earlier this season. I wonder if the Leicester players took some inspiration from those?!

That's exactly why they should be banned - for embarrassing the fucking sport.

And the fact they are vermin players. That too. :x

Why should Forest get mentioned? They were from a time before SlySports invented football in 1993. :dancingbanana: :hammer:

Its weird because those two teams last night are the 2 teams I hate more than anyone else ... but I felt exhausted after the game because I got so caught up in it and had such a bias towards the home side on this occasion.

But football has always been more of a passion to me than a sport. Thats why I hate how sanitised the whole thing is now. Family atmospheres, mascots, clappers (or whatever they're called). Football works better when there is confrontation and hatred. Although to contradict myself somewhat I love how Leicester and Ranieri have brought a smile to peoples faces.

In contrast Arsenal games just bore the fcuk out of me. I dread our games because they offer nothing I want to see.

When it all comes out in 6 or 7 years time that the Leicester players were doped up to their eyeballs it won't be such a romantic fairy tale then! The same 11 players playing the same high energy, high press game every single week with zero injuries all season? You're having a laff mate!

Gonna stick a score on them getting relegated next season, they're a rabble and every other club should be ashamed of themselves for a what's happened this year. 2016 the year the football mercenaries finally ate the game.

Said the same thing. High pressing all season all game, minimal injuries and unusually fast recovery times. All the the major signs of doping, allegedly of course, before the Stasi mods delete this post.

Vardy is also a chavy little shit, people seemed to have swept his little racist episode under the rug since he started banging in the goals.

The Premier League is now the laughing stock of world football. After the PL have milked this ''fairytale'' nonsense for all it's worth they will struggle to promote a small club like Leicester as some sort of English powerhouse because they will fade back to obscurity next season after their best players leave.

Well done, deserved and anything but spuds ;)

On the other note, Wenger will say we are the champions as we beat them twice

I'm bored of it all now. Nobody watches football to watch some shit team from a dump like Leicester win the league. It's an absolute disgrace that they've won it. One day, the big teams will surely wake up and ask themselves just how the fuck they managed to let this lot win the league. Who the fucking hell is going to win it next year, Bournemouth? Crystal Palace? Isn't this what the League Cup is for, giving small teams from nowhere a chance to win something?
I hope I'm sat here in a year's time seeing them relegated.

Well done Leicester - and their long-suffering fans who showed great dedication coming as 10,000 empty seats last year.

Frankly I couldn't give a fuck if a team of Nazi war criminals won the league - as long as it's not that lot from up the road.

not even comparable. blackburn plucked top quality big name stars from other premier league teams like sutton & sherwood from norwich, shearer from soton etc. leicesters whole first XI costs £22m which is less than ander herrera cost at united ffs! they might be loaded but hardly any of it has been plunged into the squad yet. cambiasso's wages last season perhaps...but still they were virtually nobodies prior to this season

Fair play Leicester - Premiership Champions, would have been distraught if the scum had won it.....

Ranieri is a wily old fox thats for sure, he knows how to play the media and present an image, unlike Wenger who to add to all his other lack of talents has not got a clue
