The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread
Re: Is it time for a Summer Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Guys, Xhaka is a type of player we needed since Vieira, not just his name but he is a solid rock (not a sort of Ramsey or Wilshaire that make me break the TV in every game they play), none of our midfielders are alike, and has a attitude of a leader...I hope we sign his brother as LB as well, they are really true leaders...

Keep your fingers straight, ya can call him the GENERAL, because he is one... I was about to give up on football, because of the sorts of (Ramsey, Wilshaire, Arteta, Flamini, Walcot, Chambo...) finally we got a true leader...OneBardGooner wrote:KaQaK wrote:Guys, Xhaka is a type of player we needed since Vieira, not just his name but he is a solid rock (not a sort of Ramsey or Wilshaire that make me break the TV in every game they play), none of our midfielders are alike, and has a attitude of a leader...I hope we sign his brother as LB as well, they are really true leaders...

Morata might be a top drawer striker one day but he isn't there yet. Would be a good signing for a side with a bit more flexibility.
However given that we persist with a 4-5-1 which places tremendous emphasis on the striker, it requires a world class striker who is also a proven goal scorer. Stick Morata up top on his own in a 4-5-1 for 45-50 games and he won't look quite the rising superstar.

Excellent finish from Morata in the cup final
Seems always impressive in big games despite his low goal return

That's the spending done now. No doubt there's been a meeting along the lines of 'give the great unwashed a signing early and that will shut the peasants up for a while.' Wanker will soon be buggering off to France to commentate for a month ao nothing will happen and then it will be mid-July and 'prices are too high'. Then the season will start and we'll be shit and nothing will change.

Exactly what I expected to happen. With the Euros as well this signing will let him coast until mid-August as people announce that he has finally seen the error of his ways / the shackles are off / this is the year.Perryashburtongroves wrote:That's the spending done now. 45 minutes spent on practicing goal kicks? Who pays that much attention to detail?? Rather Wenger ball, just go and play your game!!
Szcesney may have been a less than excellent keeper after showing some promise (as well as an idiot at times) but this casts further questions about Wenger's methods, after what Fabregas and Henry have said in the past. Do we just have a five a side in training and 5 laps around the pitch??

As I say the rumblings of descent from the unwashed masses and with "Banners" that actually question the messiah's way of doing things has (in corporal jonesspeak) Has really 'put it up em'.
The Banners DO Work! So well done and much kudos to those/anyone who held aloft the anti-wenger banners.

Of course he/they will - But this early signing wouldn't have happened otherwise - it may have towards the last 24 hours of the transfer window....but as Perry has said - That's the BIG marquee signing done - he can now go back to being the belligerent, despotic *word censored* we all know and want gone.Redarmy wrote:OneBardGooner wrote:Looks like the Banners have really put the shytes up wenger & the board.![]()

Morata made an "A" sign with his fingers after scoring the winner in the Italian cup final last night...A sure sign he is joining Arsenal ..obviously
