The truth is Diaby has 12 twin brothers (also known as 'Twelfths' ) - as each one got injured so the next would take his place - till they feckin' ran out - Apparently it's in the Diaby Family DNA - Something called "Moveandyougetinjuredritis" except when signing contracts or cashing cheques.

We were certainly linked heavily with him but am not sure if that was media driven or if club made bids or not - I have a vague recollection that there were rumours of a bid coming out from his old club but I could be wrong on that
In fairness though, who haven't we "been in for"?

"Virtually" everyone.

pep Guardiola, carlo ancellotti, jose mourinho, Antonio conte, jurgen klopp, diego simone, manual pellegrini, harry redknapp, etc...
Quite a long list of managers there. Who is that last one? :rubchin:

Naaah! That lst one isn't a manager he test drives Range Rovers - Windows are his speciality.

Whats the betting Flamini gets a new contract?

Would be just like Wenger, penny pinching then wasting £80K a week on wages

Think Bellerin is on his way..Certainly his comments about being linked with Barcelona are worrying.. Or rather his lack of denial that he is going.. I fear another "Barca will eventually get their way saga" this Summer.. But Debuchy is only on loan Jenkinson is back and Chambers can fill in..We love internal solutions..

Yes it would sum up Arsenal, sign a quality player and surround him with mediocrity (that is being nice to Flamini)

Don't know much about this fella but a few papers are going with us triggering his release clause from Wolfsburg. Not entirely sure LB is a top priority given that I thought Monreal was one of the success stories of last season, but if it means permacrock Gibbs leaving and having 2 decent choices in defence then always welcome

the Bellerin story is a worry but I did mention this would happen months ago, once Debouchy was fit again he should have replaced Bellerin firstly because I think Debouchy is the better player and secondly to stop the 'hype' around Bellerin,it would have been beneficial for us to have put Bellerin back in his box for a while especially as he was bang average in the second part of the season and the fleeting glimpses we saw of Debouchy proved he was able to take the reigns back up,now we could end up without either,i personally would sell Bellerin at a sky high rate to Barca and bring back Debouchy otherwise we are in for weeks and weeks of Bellerin being tapped up if not months before he fucks off next may instead.just get it done now,it will happen anyway

Does nobody else find this Bellerin story slightly improbable? Shouldn't have been in the PL team of the year for me.

He's a bright talent and with the right guidance could turn into a dangerous attacking full back but defensively he is pretty suspect (even accounting for his inexperience), doesnt look comfortable in possession and frankly lacks confidence - he's picked up the Sagna habit of turning backwards whenever faced with a defender who he is quite capable of beating.

Could well be a good player but a mile off the finished article and I'd be surprised if Barca are dead-set on signing him.

Don't want to see Debuchy in an Arsenal shirt - started well but as soon as the injuries started he has been a calamity whenever he's managed to put on the shirt.

basically he is playing as a defender, but does not know how to defend...fuck him if he wants to go......got to be better out there

NB you've hit the nail on the head there though, it might be that Barca have seen something in him and know that with proper coaching not only would he be very good going forward but that he could also become a decent defender.

Unfortunately with our coaching both defensively and in attack i feel he has regressed from where he was at the end of last season and the start of this one.

If Bellerin leaves us, goes on to win major honours at an ambitious club and decorates his cabinet at home with lots of winners medals, can we add him to the c unt list along with RVP, Nasri, Cesc?
Can we abuse him and call him a judas c unt etc?
Hope so. Its what we do best.

And can our Lord Master repeat the trick of "you can not sell Nasri and Fabregas and say that you are a big club" all over again. Can't wait to hear how Bellerin is an Arsenal boy and going nowhere before eventually being told how we had no choice but to sell him to his boyhood club, and wait 3 years for Barca to pay us in instalments which amount to half his market value

If bellerin goes, he goes...as replacements go Debuchy, Jenkinson, Chambers and seeing as hes become ineffective as a forward maybe move Theo back to RB.
Why go elsewhere when we have 4 international players available to fill that space??
