To be fair to him, he is the only English manager in the PL that can compete with all the foreign coaches. At least he'll have a system and know which players to put in his team.
If he can get Sunderland to stay up then anything is possible.
You're kidding, right?  If a "system" is setting up your team to try and physically stop a better team from playing football then yep Fat Sam has a "system". No doubt Shawcross will be the next England captain!  Fat Sam's "system" might stop Bolton or Sunderland from getting relegated on the last day of the season, but that is not competing with "all the foreign coaches" though, is it - and if that is the limit of England's ambition, at interlull level they will quickly get found out, and they will get royally fucked as well. :|
A system that worked for Portugal, Italy, and Iceland at the Euros. England are the equivalent of Bolton and Sunderland in International football and considering he's spent at least 13 out of the last 16 seasons keeping average teams in the PL, that's competing with the foreign coaches. I'm not his greatest fan but he deserves a crack at it.

If survival is the aim then why bother changing managers ? Every qualifying campaign see's ingerland cruise through, but when it gets down to the business end of the campaign, they are always found wanting. Appointing fat sam as manager wont turn them into winners cos the fat c.unt never won anything as a manager - his methods scream survival but nothing higher than that
International football is totally different, there is no pressure to stay up, therefore as witnessed at the euros, a manger just needs to have a system, put players in that system, stick to it and hope for the best and get the mentality right in the tournament matches. Fat Sam is better at that than most English managers, Pardew has got to 2 Cup finals so would be a challenger but there would be question marks over his temperament. I would suggest Roberto Martinez is well suited for International management but his reputation has taken a hammering despite getting to two semi finals, and finishing 5th the season before. You have to remember an international manager only has to get a team to win 16-17 matches in two year qualification/ tournament phase.

Don't see this Allardyce appointment going ahead. Surely Real Madrid or Barca will come in for him beforehand?

If I was an Oirish man or a Jock, i'd be bloody delighted at the prospect of Walrus Face taking over the reigns at Ingerlund.

I expect the other folk who'll be delighted will be Andy Carroll and Peter Crouch, whilst Mark Hateley and John Fashanu must be considering coming out of retirement !

Good to be back, albeit with a due sense of dread for the upcoming season. As for Ingerlund.....it was the usual 'fucked off for 5 minutes' syndrome followed by laughter at the prospect of another 'root and branch' review of football in this country, before everyone forgets the whole thing until the next tournament embarrassment.

I know there is one particular Oirishman on here who does give a shit, and he must be desperately flicking through the pages of the Mythical Times and the NeverNeverLand Gazette right now looking for all those English media stories telling the world how we'll storm the next World Cup with Walrus in charge !

Hey - can you imagine how disappointed we were?? We were gonna win it y'know. Yep. Right after we "humiliated" the Italian B Team, the Oirish media collectively lost their shit in excitement and bandwagon jumping and could not interview enough retards on the street about "soccer" and how great our fans were.

Absolutely. Maybe Kevin Davies can add to his one cap where he came off the bench for 25 minutes and committed about eight fouls and picked up a yellow in the process.

Welcome back after your well-timed self-imposed period of exile

A point that I made in page one of this thread 8)

Have to say that I am absolutely astounded that the fat c.unt would even be interviewed for the job, and not that it appears that he will be appointed next week, I am gobsmacked   Don't get me wrong cos I will enjoy the bit of banter on here (until some clown accuses me of being a jihadi sympathiser  ) as fat sam quickly bemoans the soft Europeans and how the referee's are screwing ye

My bad - I thought that you were saying that fat sam is the type of manager that is more suited to managing the likes of Ireland and Scotland

Now interviewing the ultimate "jobs for the boys" fat bastard Steve Bruce.

Is somebody at the FA having a laugh or is this a genuine ploy to take England back into the dark ages?

I think I know for sure who the next England manager is going to be, Harry Redknapp was in my branch of Kwik Fit yesterday getting his drivers window greased.
