This anti leave bullshit has got to fucking stop!
Nigel Farage is a prick, he has the audacity to go onto TVAM and admit that the battle buses £350m claim was a lie, then resign claiming his work was done. He should be facing his European counterparts, with the likes of Johnson and Leadsom trying to trash out trade deals that will take years to ratify.
By the way you are from Rugby right? I used to travel up there regularly to visit a client of myne who was in the music industry. They had a distribution warehouse that had a large contingent of Eastern Europeans doing the less skilled jobs. I asked why there where not more home grown workers given the location, the Finance Director in no uncertain terms told me that the local workforce turned their noses up at doing this sort of work, not that they had the skills to do something else more like they couldn't be bothered. Kind of says a lot for British jobs for British workers ehh.
And if you are from Rugby what is wrong with Coventry City.
Secondly, there are loads of distribution warehouses around Rugby, and yes, a lot of them are predominantly staffed by Eastern Europeans, However, this is not because the lazy British don't want to work in them, but because the recruitment in a lot of them is controlled by agencies, many of whom advertise any vacancies only in Eastern European countries. This sill happens despite legislation to try and prevent this. Also, as you probably know, a lot of recruitment is also done by word of mouth, so obviously this perpetuates the high ratio of Eastern Europeans in this industry.
Thirdly, yes I am from Rugby, but used to live in London, near Clissold Park, not that far from Highbury. But Charlie George is mainly responsible for me supporting Arsenal, as I told him once when joking about the amount of money he had cost me over the years!![]()

That is a fucking disgusting thing to say. My mates experience counts for nothing because he "only" works on the shop floor. It's probably YOUR fucking financial director mate,(or somebody with the same attitude), who recruited exclusively from Eastern Europe to drive down wages, and undermine union rights and work conditions. I hope that there are people who use this forum, that are also ONLY shop floor workers, who read what you think about them.nut flush gooner wrote:From the shop floor or the boardroom. If your prime motivation for voting to leave was because you don't like or trust "foreigners" then, yes, you were wrong....Brightonnxtround wrote:I bought a leave eu t shirt and when my 17 year old daughter saw me wearing

I've worked for three blue-chip companies and other PLCs and the bollocks spouted by most of the Directors I've worked with is Wengeresque.
If you want to know the real situation, ask the people that actually do the jobs.

Have to agree. I've never met a director or senior manager of any description that could tell the truth about anything. I'm sure there is one or two out there, but they are the exception not the rule.GranadaJoe wrote:Rugby Gooner wrote:That is a fucking disgusting thing to say. It does seem that as far as many remoaners are concerned there are 17.5 million xenophobic racists in this country. I expect most of those 17.5 million are paedos, mysoginists, homophobic mental cases who kick their cats as well.Brightonnxtround wrote:I bought a leave eu t shirt and when my 17 year old daughter saw me wearing

Doubtless there were xenophobes voting for out but the vast majority are reasonable people who used their democratic right to vote for the option they thought was best in the long term.
Re: EU referendum - What will you vote?
Don't worry about it, the young are always influenced by the loudest voice around them. We were in the 60's with Dylan preaching his protest songs. As you get older you learn to see a bigger picture. Currently the media 's interest seems to want to paint all Brexiters as uneducated extremely biased low lives where of course most of the young have benefited from some form of higher education and subsequently suffer from a superiority complex and always believe that anything bad will never happen to them. Your daughter will learn as she gets older that one day you have to get up and stand on your own two feet and then she will realise that our generation used life experience and voted to leave because we felt that it was right for her generation in the long run.

Ya but I'm not that sure that's true anymore she has a part time job at McDonald's she works very hard serving public for very little money £4.75 an hour there abouts but she's forming friendships with hard working e u migrants , who converse in her native tongue , when I was her age there was very few foreigners mostly in Peterborough at least Italians and I did form close relationships which still endure today so when I think about it I'm a fucking hypocrite
She's only doing what I did , they just happen to be from different lands

It's pretty disgusting to label all FD's with the same brush tbh. I have loads of contact with blue collar workers mainly in the automotive and construction industries, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. All you have to do is look at the endless stream of bodged building jobs we get in this country as a result of no regulation.Rugby Gooner wrote:That is a fucking disgusting thing to say. You are the person labelling whole sections of people. This time you are claiming you can't trust Blue Collar Workers! I hope that you are in diamond or club level at the bowl, heaven forbid if you actually had to come into contact with the evil working class scum.

You say it's 'disgusting to label all FDs with the same brush' (despite the fact that nobody did!),then you do the same with blue collar workers, with no hint of irony.
Also, 'trust' in general terms is not the issue. The question is, who do you believe would give you the most accurate answers about the workings of a company.
For example: This week, lowcostholidays has just gone bust. It was taking customers payments up to the minute it stopped trading. 27,000 customers have been screwed. Did the Board tell the staff the situation, or the customers? I bet the staff knew the company was in the shit, despite the actions of senior management.
