The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The problem is, that for all of us, the aim is to win the title, or at the very least be competitive and challenge for it, but that's not Wenger or the board's aim. If, at the end of this season, we have only signed Xhaka(not counting the pet project signings) and finish 4th, then it will be job done in Wenger's eyes. If, on the other hand, he spends over 100 million on bringing in quality, and we don't win the title, then Stan would see it as money wasted.

Why do you keep saying that? Even more reputable journalists are saying we are linked with Higuain/Icardi etc. Icardi's agent is in London who the press in Italy have said we were supposed to be meeting this week. Whether it happens is another question.

I think you need to relinquish the crown as the oracle of twitter transfer shite.

Given that he has said he is not returning to Turkey where he was on loan last season I'd happily take Mario Gomez. Whilst he has his flaws he knows how to score.

Well, Rodders was right. Football has now finally eaten itself. :censored:

In the week that the FA gave the England manager's job to a fat no mark, Manure have just had £87million (+ add ons) turned down for Paul Fucking Pogba - the most over rated footballer in the history of everything.

Now apparently the Filth have gone back with £92million. The Filth have also agreed to buy Pogba’s commercial rights and pay him an extra £4.2million a season, taking his wage to £290K a week. And his parasitic cúnt (or agent) will pocket over £18million.

For Paul fucking Pogba?

Fuck off. :x :censored:

Every time the FA negotiate a new deal with Sky / BT it's hailed as a mark of the success of the PL, but what is happening now is the obvious and inevitable result.

An extra billion doesn't create more players or better players, but the money has to go somewhere, and we all know ticket prices won't be going down, so the simplest supply and demand example possible; the prices go up. 15mil for Ibe, 100m for Pogba.

To make matters worse, UK suscribers are paying the ridiculous prices and the money is then going abroad, enriching competing Leagues and Clubs.

Football IS eating itself.
