The ''no one is coming'' Transfer Thread

Re: Is it time for a Summer Transfer Window Thread Yet?
The problem is, that for all of us, the aim is to win the title, or at the very least be competitive and challenge for it, but that's not Wenger or the board's aim. If, at the end of this season, we have only signed Xhaka(not counting the pet project signings) and finish 4th, then it will be job done in Wenger's eyes. If, on the other hand, he spends over 100 million on bringing in quality, and we don't win the title, then Stan would see it as money wasted.

Absolutely zero rumours on Twitter, think most are resigned that xhaka will be or only big signing .
Re: Is it time for a Summer Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Why do you keep saying that? Even more reputable journalists are saying we are linked with Higuain/Icardi etc. Icardi's agent is in London who the press in Italy have said we were supposed to be meeting this week. Whether it happens is another question.mcdowell42 wrote:Henry Norris 1913 wrote:Lots of chat about icardi from inter, any twitter news mac?

I think you need to relinquish the crown as the oracle of twitter transfer shite.

I've ignored these rumours because they are the not new rumours,it's all stuff thts been posted from previous 3/4/5/6 seasons ,there is 1 bloke claiming we are after a huge named striker, but he wouldn't name the striker or who he plays for .
Re: Is it time for a Summer Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Still no proper striker or CB signing? No?
Carry on

Re: Is it time for a Summer Transfer Window Thread Yet?
Given that he has said he is not returning to Turkey where he was on loan last season I'd happily take Mario Gomez. Whilst he has his flaws he knows how to score.

That's insane money out of one transfer deal. Overall the whole value of the proposed deal is insane but I'll guess manure wants to make a statement here. Meanwhile in wenker world...Redarmy wrote:Paul Pogbas agent in line to get nearly £19 MILLION from the Man Utd transfer.......

Well, Rodders was right. Football has now finally eaten itself.
In the week that the FA gave the England manager's job to a fat no mark, Manure have just had £87million (+ add ons) turned down for Paul Fucking Pogba - the most over rated footballer in the history of everything.
Now apparently the Filth have gone back with £92million. The Filth have also agreed to buy Pogba’s commercial rights and pay him an extra £4.2million a season, taking his wage to £290K a week. And his parasitic cúnt (or agent) will pocket over £18million.
For Paul fucking Pogba?
Fuck off.

Every time the FA negotiate a new deal with Sky / BT it's hailed as a mark of the success of the PL, but what is happening now is the obvious and inevitable result.
An extra billion doesn't create more players or better players, but the money has to go somewhere, and we all know ticket prices won't be going down, so the simplest supply and demand example possible; the prices go up. 15mil for Ibe, 100m for Pogba.
To make matters worse, UK suscribers are paying the ridiculous prices and the money is then going abroad, enriching competing Leagues and Clubs.
Football IS eating itself.
