He will probably play Monreal or if he stays Debuchy as CB.

Do Arsenal actually have a transfer strategy? I greatly admire other teams who can identify the players they need and then go and pay the necessary amount and so get the job done, simple! Why can Arsenal not just do that??

Wenger just appears to fish about in the never heard of/not wanted/free agent/ young French and shit basket. I mean, do the powers that be actually have a plan!?!

No plan, no ambition, no hope :banghead:

It seems to me Gazidis and Wenger should be lynched. We moved to a new stadium, were frugal with spending for years to pay it off with a view to competing financially with 'big' clubs and when we finally get into that position they say - money isn't the advantage it used to be as everyone gets more than enough from tv deals. So, in essence, their entire stadium strategy has been an epic and unnecessary failure as we are no more competitive than ever.

That to me is incompetence on a grand scale - forget the football side, if they run the place as a business then they've stuffed up. Their short sightedness that you actually need to win things to maintain your brand value is also lost on them.

What the FUCK is going on at the Arsenal???

These lying wankers all those years moving from Highbury, we were told we had to move to compete with the best around

Put up with years of non spending for the better cause...

Now they say they have to be frugal in spending, despite highest gate receipts and ticket prices???

How is it that the shite down the lane are still buying? let alone Man City with Stones at £50 million and Utd with Pogba at £100 Million

really hoping they have a disastrous season, yeah its fucking come to that

They are Money mad....they have just arranged a buyout for Czesney to Roma 16 Million Euros????
That's not all, it also says we are paying half of Chezzas 2.5m wages a year and are getting £1m back from Roma for the loan.......so that makes us £250k down on the deal?? FFS who makes these decisions? :banghead:

So Merty gets a long term injury and Kim Jung Wonga says 'now we will have to sign a defender'!!! So he wasn't even looking before that then!!??? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

So let me get this straight, we are 'Very very active' in the transfer market and so far players such as these have moved and yet we have not been interested......

Henrikh Mkhitaryan - M
Ilkay Gundogan - M
Nolito - ST
Michy Batshuayi - ST
N'Golo Kante - DM
Mats Hummels - CB
Renato Sanches - DM
Mehdi Benatia - CB
Gonzalo Higuain - ST
Nicolas Gaitan - M
Grzegorz Krychowiak - DM
Djibril Sidibe - CB
Samuel Umtiti - CB
Lucas Digne - D
Andre Gomes - M
Marko Pjaca - M
Miralem Pjanic - M
Mario Gotze - AM
Andre Schurrle - AM
Breel Embolo - AM/ST
Jeffrey Bruma - D
Sadio Mane - AM
Eric Bailly - CB

Just what the fuck are we after?? Oh yes, bargains, unknowns, generally shit players who Kim Jung 'I'm a c.unt' Wonga fancies he can turn into the next Virtual Princess Ronaldo. What an exciting season this promises to be.....NOT!!

Gazidis. 'we can't afford to outgun competitors'. You know, for a cash rich club with reliable and enormous revenue streams, the lack of money put aside for the core operations of a football club - investing in the team, is simply shocking. If any private business kept pleading poverty despite a large consumer base (us fans) and enormous infrastructure and brand name (the stadium and the Arsenal name), there would be serious questions about the competency of the chief executive.

The narrative Arsenal cannot compete should not ring true. Why cant the 5th most valuable football club in the world not compete at the very top? Why does the club that generates the most match-day revenue in the richest league in the world, plead poverty? Were the only top club in England other than Man City to have sold our stadium name, yet we still plead poverty. Tottenham, Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea - they could all raise tens, possibly even hundreds of millions if they sold their stadium name. Both us and City play at stadiums named after Arabian airlines. Yet where is the advantage we should get for it? When you give up the name of your ground, you had better get something in return. If United ever wanted to sell the name to Old Trafford, United fans would go mental, or demand something out of it - like Messi.

Just for the record I wouldn't pay 20 Million for John Stones let alone 50 Million. He just does not look that good a player for what I saw last season.

I see Mr. bullshit has spun another web of lies this morning with his "we cant outspend the big guns" crap. He done a similar article with the same paper back in 2013 were he said the club were now able to compete with other clubs in terms of financial clout. So what has changed now ivan !? let me guess is it brexit !? has the price of caviar got more expensive for all your little yes men who sit at club level week in and out ? or is it just the fact that arsene has reduced your pocket money for the week !? .

We have 300 fucking million plus cash reserve in the bank, we are not asking you to spend silly money on one individual but we are simply asking you to invest in players that go out there week in and out and have some fucking pride in the team they play for. I am sick to death of this wanker representing our club and thinking that he is on the "fans side" when he is about as popular as a wart on a mans knob.

3 very simple words that this club lived and stood by for years, with individuals who wanted to play for for "THE ARSENAL" under your watch ivan we have become the biggest laughing stock in Europe. Get the fuck out of this club and give it back to the people that made it what it is to day the fans.

Le-Grove done a good piece yesterday evening where he dissected that argument and showed it up for the bullshit that it is - he agreed that we cannot compete with the wealth of citeeh, the chavs, manure and spains big two clubs, but he also rightly pointed out that we should be on a financial par or better with every other club in the world (and he includes Bayern, Dortmund and juve in that). It's easy for gazidas and/or wenker to come out and say that we cant compete with the mega rich clubs, but can anyone tell me when we have ever gone toe to toe with them to try and buy a player ? Should a club like ours be unable to better Dortmund or ath madrid in the transfer market ? With the amount of moey at our disposal, we should be able to go into the likes of Dortmund and lodge in a bid for reus that they simply could not turn down - yes it would be a huge outlay, but if you want quality you better be prepared to spend it.

As fans we don't really expect to battle for players with those clubs and be successful doing so, but maybe every so often we could lob in a grenade when one of them try to sign a player - we all know that citeeh and real madrid want abamayueng, so maybe we could have a bit of fun outbidding them if he came on the market. Best case scenario we actually succeed in buying him, but worst case scenario one of those clubs end up paying more than they wanted to, to sign him :rubchin:

Logic seems to be few and fair between with some of our board, but then what would me or you know augie as we are just viewed as very small cogs in a big cash generating machine.

Another thing that annoys me is the line "we should be grateful" and "we don't know what we are wishing for", oh fuck right off  This club was competing on a domestic and European level well before arsene came in and would have been regardless. It wouldent do ivan any harm to sit down and read the history of our club before he comes out with things like this

I know its not a popular opinion, but I don't blame Gazidis in this farce. The reality is, regardless of what Gazidis might want to happen, when it comes to transfers, he answers to Wenger, and as we know, Wenger is quite happy to shop in the bargain basement. This means, Gazidis either comes out with the truth, or spins lies, as there is no real defence of Wenger's actions. We have the fucked up situation at Arsene FC, in which the manager has more power than the chief-executive.

Or he shuts his mouth altogether rather than coming out with insulting bullshit like this  To some degree I think that gazidas gets away light with some fans - yes he is quite happy to meet with them and play the old "fans are important to us" game, but he is still presiding over an institution which is treating it's fans like shit as shown up by their disgraceful treatment of sparksy and his 9 year old daughter
I know that the show of support for wenger last season might suggest otherwise, but our fans are not really stupid - they hear and read the stories about the amount of cash in the club accounts, and how much the likes of wenker, wally and giroud take out in wages, and they know that the lack of funds is bullshit and when gazidas spouts it he is downright lying to us all

im confused by this latest crap from Gazidis.
isn't this the same guy who said a year or two back that the only players we couldn't afford were Messi and Ronaldo?

ok he says that we can't compete. so why did we fucking well move from Highbury to our current monstrosity then????
why do we make such a big deal about qualifying for the Champions League when we are not prepared to spend that money????
furthermore we are told that only teams that qualify for the Champions League can attract the big names. so how come we are not attracting them??
Arsenal have the highest season tickets in world football. Where is this money going??????

if Gazidis wants to act small time then ok fair enough - REDUCE THE PRICES, but otherwise shut the fuck up :banghead:

At the next Gazidis "meet the customers" meeting, someone should just read that to him. And demand answers. :box:
