Daily express reporting we will make a £30 bid for Draxler in January.

Jesus Christ - Is it that time of year already where we allow Sky to work us up into a frenzy about who we will sign? We will now have six weeks of utter bullshit about us signing Draxler, Cavani, Messi, Maradonna, Red Rum etc, etc :banghead: . Complete and utter bollocks to fill the press or get hits on a website.

I can tell you now that we will not make a single signing. I am 100% certain of that. Why would we when we may be top of the league (or thereabouts) and yet still have the megastars of Welbeck, Debuchy, Cazorla, etc to come back.

I cannot face that crap. Is there a way to block an entire thread?

Maybe I just need some sleep

I don't think we need anyone.

A big signing would risk upsetting the balance.

No one coming. I think our greatest need is a top class goalkeeper.. I would play Ospina ahead of Cech at the moment, thought Cech was dreadful for the West Ham goal last week..Didn't move for either the free kick or the rebound.. Only movement was a belated and pathetic arm up for offside..
I think Kasper Schmeichel is the best keeper in the Premier League now..he has injury problems (so he has what it takes to be an Arsenal player).
Think our defence is reasonably ok..but they need coaching in discipline, we are giving away too many penalties.. They also need to be drilled in the art of defending..
An out and out striker would be nice but the only name being mentioned as available is Sturridge and to be honest I would rather stick with what we have than take him.
We are, as usual, being mentioned as title challenges and, as usual, we know where this is going, or not going to be accurate.. Think the biggest obstacle to us challenging is in the dug out and not on the pitch..

I'd like to see us buy Draxler.

He's a good young player, but already an established international.

It would show everybody (Sanchez and Ozil included) that we're ambitious and,

if one of them went we'd already have an acclimatised replacement.

Have to agree we're not desperately in need of someone right now, maybe as said a GK because Cech is cutting it for us, tbh i'd rather see us get rid of Ramsey before we think of buying anyone

Again I ask what need will draxler fulfill ? As a team that is already unbalanced/badly set up (in my opinion), the last thing we need is another player who will replicate what we already have

Would you prefer Draxler or Theo in the staring line up?

Exactly Draxler not required....would be great to get a top keeper in....think Ospina will be pushing Cech very soon....more mobile and reactive IMO

To be honest I would rather wally's missus in the team than wally himself - unlike some fans, I know that his run of form will quickly end and he will quickly go back to his shitty useless self
Have to say though, that we have plenty of players already in the squad that should be in the team ahead of wally - upgrading a squad player (which wally should be imo) is foolish when we need a top class striker, a top class centre back, a better left full, and an upgrade at keeper more urgently 8)
