Is there a luckier krunt anywhere in the world than our charlatan in charge?

Back to our usual turgid sideways pass, pass tedious shiite, but still managed to pub a most dubious win in the final seconds. :barscarf:

Wenger knew what how Burnley would set up.......

What provision did he make tactically for breaking down this team besides, "start strong, stay strong" shit which he reputedly trots out on a regular basis as an excuse for a team talk

Long thought it but ANY team who sets up like this have a real chance against us....constantly trying to pass around a packed organised defence

When you look at it objectively, our sqaud is one of the best. Everyone goes on about Man City, but our back 4 and keeper is better is better than their back 4 and keeper. Their wing backs are average, and they rely on Kompany to offer any sort of stability in defence. As Celtic and Tottenham proved, if you have a go at Man City, they are not good enough to resist. Whilst I think its ourselves and Tottenham with the best back 4 and keeper.

Man City have a softness about them, they are not unbeatable by any stretch. There is no reason why we cant win the league this year. Therefore, how would Wenger explain another failure? If indeed City win it, and everyone goes, oh you cant expect Wenger to beat this Man City team, im going to take exception, as why would a team that starts Kolorov, Zabaleta, Fernando, Navas & Otamendi in such a key game, be considered beyond beatable?

Some poeplt tlak about City in the same breath as Bayern, Barcelona and Real. Fuk sake, they are not even close to being that good. As I was saying, I woulndt swap our back 4 with anyone of theirs.

He doesn't need to explain failure. It's not as if he is likely to be sacked. He failed in the league for 12 years and is still here FFS.

I see sky pulled out all the stops for a Wenger celebration. A full 4.5 minutes honouring 20 years.
Fat Sam got more for 67 days in charge of England.

The more this season goes on, the more optimistic I am getting. Quality and quantity wise, we are good enough to finish on top. Also, im just not sold on the supposed strengh of our rivals. City in particular have been horribly overrated. City's back up players cannot execute the brand of football and intensity of their first team. I am slo highly suspect of them at the back, and have little confidence in Bravo. Any team that has a go at City will score.

This again, is another year where we can realistically win it. Forget all this rubbish about 'having no right to beat Man City' or what have you. That type of talk isnt even holding Wenger to a standard at all, not even a low standard.

So if we do nothing more than finish a distant 3rd or 4th, im not having the whole 'oh he did well to keep Arsenal in the top 4 in a competitive league' talk.

We Arsenal fans have just as right to expect to be crowned champions, as both Manchester fans expect of their teams and manager to win.

It's good that we are playing well at the moment and getting a bit of luck, but haven't we been here many, many times only to fall apart come March? If we're still doing well by April, I might get a bit optimistic. :)

The last couple of games (Basel/Burnley) look like we are regressing to "business as normal". Basel, we were very wasteful in front of goal and yesterday we seem to find it very difficult to break down an organised side.

As for the 'oh he did well to keep Arsenal in the top 4 in a competitive league' talk, that is exactly how the AKBs will spin it (and have been for years).

Arsenal's latest financial results revealed a cash balance of £226.5million.

That total is more than the balances of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich combined.

The signs are looking good but I'm not getting too excited yet.

When we have played well - Chelsea, Basel - we won comfortably,
When we have been poor - Southampton, burnley - we have ground out ugly wins.

If we retain a largely fully fit squad, we have a great opportunity.

Picked up a copy of FIFA 17 last night and started a friendly match, Bayern vs ManUre. First line of commentary (re Bayern) was "such a well run club, they get their transfers done early every season, never waiting until the last minute." And immediately I think what a contrast that mentality is to Arsene FC :banghead:

Fuck off Wenger, I can't even enjoy my computer games anymore!

And had that have been City or Manure, the media would be wanking themselves silly, branding it "the mark of champions"

Yippee!! We should take down the "1989 - It's up for grabs now" banner inside the stadium and replace it with a "2016 - £226.5 million cash balance!!" banner.

After all the Club's new motto is "Profits before Trophies" :barscarf:

Anyone see Henry's "interview" with "the Boss" on SlySports?

Nauseating mostly. :puke:

But one nice bit at the end when Henry asked Wenger three quick fire stats questions. One was "Who did you use the most as a sub in the 20 years?" Wenger said "Walcott?"

When Henry told him it had in fact been Bergkamp the look of shock on Wenger's face was priceless! "Bergkamp??!!" he exclaimed. "140 times" Henry replied. "But the game was probably won by that stage".

It was nice to see the level of respect they still have for God10. 8)
