As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Thanks Mark. I've got to laugh at that. Typical pathetic Guardian tactic to divert away from the point at hand.
He's chosen two words out of the 1,200 that I used and made a Quantum Leap. Superb effort whoever he is. Shame he can't put a Pro Wenger argument forward.
GoonerMuzz wrote:Only on our forum could you find us debating how polite a demonstration to remove the French Prick should be
He is vermin and needs to be removed, there should be no other thought, Arsenal class can be taken too far you know
If i didn't know better i'd almost expect some of you lot to tell tales of Herd and his friends inviting the other 'chaps' over for 'tiffen' and 'fisticuffs' after the match the way some people bang on about our 'class'
You will not remove Wenger by anything other than a balls out continuous high profile effort that garners mass attention and harms the 'brand' in a significant way.
There is no other reason for him to leave and only by harming the brand image can i see him being asked to leave, he WILL NOT leave of his own accord, but if you want to be all polite and 'gentile' about it lads just in case it might harm our image, crack on, but be prepared for at least another 4 years after all he is so egotistical he WILL want to beat SAFs longevity record even if he can't beat his footballing accomplishments
I understand exactly how you feel, and anyone who knows me will testify that I like to say it how it is on SM. However, we need to be smarter than just doing that on Tuesday. If we just turn up and abuse him, whilst we might feel better in ourselves about doing it, it achieves this:
Media dismiss our efforts as just a bunch of uneducated hooligans with no recourse but to abuse him
Arsenal will use that to dismiss us in exactly the same way
Fans who agree with our aims will not join us, as they will not abuse him, but could join in if we are strongly saying "no new contract"
AKBs will just slag us off and say that all we have to fight him with is counting him off (minus the o!)
We have to remember that our goal is to pressure him in to understanding how many fans think he is finished, so it helps him realise (in his mind) what a terrible & ungrateful lot we are for not recognising what a genius he still is and to spite us he'll leave to go win the champions league with Madrid (Like I say, in his own head).
We need numbers and we all know some will watch to see how it goes before actually joining. If we're singing anything about him being a count, or anything else considered 'vile', then they will walk away and our numbers are lessened. I know it may be hard to bite your tongue, but if we want rid, we have to do this in the best way to manage it. That is numbers and a strong message that says no new contract, time to walk away.
I can only urge everyone to try and get as many down as possible, but also to try and get them to stick to this message. Do it this way and the Club, Wenger and AKBs will have nothing, whilst the media can push the agenda as even they know he's done.
What ever happens it is the proper way to demonstrate directly to the club and not banners at away games which is just wrong

Have to disagree with you, if you want to put pressure on him it has to be a substained campaign. That's why "Time for Change" failed - it was a one off. The march will fail also if it is not followed up at subsequent matches.
If I wanted Wenger out I would take it to the directors entrance before and after games at home and not to away games
you can demonstrate v munich v lincoln and so on but away games are us v them not us v us

Have to agree with Nick here. If Tuesday goes well we have to keep the pressure on until he leaves.

So I looked up tactics from the Bobby Sands book of cell decoration and the “dirty protest” is one we should follow .
There are two ways ,either just smear your shit over your own seat or wait till half time and have a mass Forest Gump on the forecourt.
Professional plasterers will then smear the stadium with it .
If you don’t feel like a shit or are easily embarrassed then get a bag from somebody walking their Dog in Highbury fields !
The only problem is that the Team might stink the place out more than us !

If tuesday goes well for you mate and you get the numbers then the demonstration would have achieved more in 1 hour than 5 yrs of bannergate

And how the fuck is Kroenke going to see it when he is in Denver? He wont be there for the Bayern game..He owns the club the other directors are just puppets. The banner when it is shown on live tv is shown all over the world

Wrong is some lame half arsed effort at protesting. Wrong is an idea that we The Arsenal is still a club with class. Very Wrong is any notion that WE are a united club against the opposition clubs - the number one fight right now is getting rid of an outdated egotistical wankbag manager, and everything else (inc kroenke and opposition clubs/fans) comes a very distant second
Jesus this "proper way" bullshit gets right on my tits
Dont judge yet moany,it should get some press coverage, the board hear or see it and other supporters join in and bingo it turns out to be the best way of outing a manager or stopping the chances of him signing again ,its a tried and trusted method used by supporters of clubs all over the world
apart from us
one things for sure its better than sitting on your arsehole moaning on a forum for god knows how many years
doing absolute nothing
Exactly right, this is a golden opportunity to get maximum publicity.
What do you imagine the TV pundits are going to find to fill the airspace with for an hour before this particular game? Even they will struggle to fill a whole hour of buid-up with focus on nothing other than this dead rubber. They won't be able to ignore the elephant just outside the room, nor will they want to if it provides some interest in what will otherwise be a boring evening with little in the way of suspense.
Good luck to everyone taking part and I hope its a roaring success. I can already hear the luvvie brigade of John Cross, Gary Neville and Paddy Barclay labelling everyone involved a moron and that you all need to be 'careful what you wish for' but we know that's coming anyway. The shock horror reaction in certain quarters to the Norwich banners and the Stoke Three is what you have to contend with - the same press hacks that slate the bloke's stubbornness every week suddenly recoil in horror if a fan dares to raise his voice
At a meaningless game like this when everyone knows the football is of no significance it sounds like a great opportunity to create some stories. Sorry, I won't be setting foot near the fucking place especially in that competition but hope it goes well

A couple hundred people (even a thousand - if that many turn up) walking in late would not even be noticed. Have you been to the Conglomerates stadium? There are thousands of empty seats everywhere during that first 10 minutes while the late arrivers/early leavers arrive and then a couple thousand seats stay empty throughout the game...
And no it won't "work". A single protest won't do anything "of note", but it might start the ball rolling... might....
Lets just stick to what's been arranged... chopping & changing all the time is going to lead to a diluted fiasco. We get our banners, we get together and we march...this is ALL over social media, the press will pick it up. The only way it will work in the ground is if all of us are sitting together and you are protesting en masse in a concentrated block...but that isn't going to happen is it.....Plus once you get to the entrance your banner will be taken from you, especially if they know about us...and they do. Stay outside, they cannot attack us in the street in front of the press.
And let me just add I have no interest in spending money at the club, or watching us play or getting home at 3 in the morning
Unlikely banners will get taken away. We had them inside at least 3 or 4 home games last year. Just need a bit of ingenuity to get them in...
You mean carrying them internally, don't you...?
I wonder if the stewards could get away with a cavity search under the guise of elf 'n safety??
Well that one with the Foppish hair cut and the pother one with nail varnish are a bit suspect.
