West Bromwich Albion (A) | PL | Sat 18 Mar 12:30

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Gutted that the plane may now not fly....

Was my only reason to watch the game as it will no doubt be a pile of poo.

Totally agree, Stuart :banghead:

I'd hope that somehow we may get a last-minute reprieve tomorrow, but it was suicidal to be tweeting about the company in the first place. I hope some other alternative can be found.

As for a statement, something like this:
Gooners,

The plane company has told us that they cannot fly tomorrow, as was planned, due to wind conditions. Despite this setback, we hope for a peaceful but loud protest amongst match-going Gooners tomorrow at The Hawthorns. Rest assured, we will have other plans for publicly calling for the manager to go and for the club to withdraw their contract offer to Mr. Wenger and we will use the funds raised by Arsenal supporters worldwide to that end. Home game demonstrations will continue regardless and information on those will be released nearer the time.

#WengerOut
We will need someone to co-ordinate a protest up there tomorrow, via social media - Meeting point and time. There are Gooners with banners going up there and it needs to be centralized pretty quickly for maximum effect. Banners after the final whistle are a must too.

I have posted an update on the Just Giving page telling people what is happening. I have assured them that the protests will continue until the end of the season even if Wenger signs a new contract and that ALL the donation money will go toward ousting him. And if the plane doesn't fly tomorrow it will fly elsewhere.

What else can I do?? Anybody??

If its gonna be that windy ... how about a big kite?

Sorry dont mean to be flippant .. I am gutted about the plane. But we all knew either Wenger's luck would kick in or something underhand has taken place.

As StuartL says ... it was the only reason for watching this potential shite-fest.

No plane, no game!

This: Go large at Wembley.

Massive media coverage, we concentate our efforts and play our joker that day. And I don't mean Eboue!

I'm up for protesting at Wembley seeing as we've avoided the scum but I've said a few times and even calling this potential force majeur event with the plane before we got here, there is going to be a massive media vacuum after this weekend's round of games. We need mitigation in place for tomorrow. Protesting up at Brom alone is not going to be enough as this is looking increasingly one dimensional. The media will start painting it as some sort of routine and we need to mix things up.

Also unlike some I don't believe the dinosaur has signed or in fact decided to sign and that's what motivates me. He's caught up in an ethical dilemma and it's killing him inside because he knows he needs something to justify extending his stay. Fan pressure + poor results, culminating in a disastrous end to the season may well be the antidote to get rid of him.

I think that the usual top 4 finish, sadly will be enough, if he gets to the cup final, I reckon that too would be enough for the club and mean they wouldn't have the balls (however much Gazidis may want to) to withdraw the contract :banghead:

Those fence - sitters, who do believe his time is up, but not prepared to be vocal are adding to the problem by thinking he will just walk away of his own accord - has the last 10 years not taught you that Wenker thinks he is doing a great job and we are lucky to have him.

Sorry, back on topic WBA, cant wait.

If anyone is any illusion that WBA will be bothered tomorrow, consider this stat:

As a side note, having reached the 40-point mark, there are general concerns that Tony Pulis’ men may now slip down through the gears. Incredibly, in the last four seasons, Pulis’ sides have won just once in 20 matches having achieved the 40-point target.

Once we win tomorrow, then all the talk of Wenger leaving will disintegrate. He will do a smug post match presser, in which he will claim this season is still going to be successful. Also expect chief lapdog John Cross to write how the WOB'S are ungrateful and how they have an 'agenda'. The only way we will see proper pressure on Wenger is with losses, and plenty of them.
