As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

But we can only go by what he actually says. Can't just decide he didn't mean what he said because we reckon he might do this or might do that.
Fair point but isn't this all heartbreakingly hypothetical, neither of the two parasites are going anywhere soon
I wonder how much of Usmanov's backing for AW is for PR? Even now we know that the narcissist has a large if ever shrinking following in the ground and maybe Alisher is playing to the gallery after the anti-Usmanov movement when he wanted to take over before
All of this is pure speculation as Armchair said and i'd love someone with some insider knowledge to open up but if nothing else Arsenal PLC is very very good at keeping its dirty laundry hidden and that is unusual in modern football
I like the story of how Usmanov & Abramovich have been competitors for years and Usmanov would do whatever it took to make Arsenal more successful than Chelsea.

Now that's the sort of owner we could do with.
Only we've missed the boat with the financial doping, so he can't throw money at us like Abramovich did with CFC.
Now it is regulated and the Financial Fair Play thing is ... unbelievably...working.
And to think Abramovich wanted The Arsenal as his first choice.
Oh well, what might have been.
Wouldn't have made any difference with the whole "moral " thing, as we've all been bought now.

One of Usmanov's company already own part of everton, so the timing of the announcement of his bid, before we play Everton makes it even more intriguing.
His company does not own part of Everton. His business partner Farhad Moshiri does and owns 50% of Everton. They jointly owned Arsenal shares until Usmanov bought him out last year. Moshiri, Usmanov and another businessman own a company called USM Holdings ( Usmanov-Skoch-Moshiri) a metal and mining company which sponsors the Everton training ground.
USM holdings (Usmanov's founding company) have the naming rights for evertons training ground at Finch Farm. Its the first deal of its kind in the |UK. Reported in The Guardian on 5th January 2017. This is separate to Moshiri. It is anticipated that if Usmanov fails in his bid to buy Arsenal, he'll plough money into Everton.

Do we really need someone to do that? Back in the day it was probably necessary but now there is so much money in football is it still required, especially at Arsenal who are very cash rich anyway?
Absolutely right Nick. We don't need a sugar daddy to pump in his personal fortune.
We need an owner who isn't hellbent on stockpiling as much cash as possible, and a manager who isn't going to either refuse to spend it or piss it up the wall on players like Elneny, Xhaka, Mustafi and Perez.
IW8Goalmachine wrote:*word censored* has just made a statement he will never sell.
Club is fucked, I hope We freefall now for a few years
The statement reads:
“KSE UK, Inc notes the recent media speculation concerning its shareholding in Arsenal Holdings PLC and confirms its shares are not, and never have been, for sale. KSE is a committed, long term investor in Arsenal and will remain so.”
Just because he shares are not for sale, doesn't mean he wouldn't sell if the right offer came in.
