THE WENGER THREAD
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Very classy from the club isn't it? Leak the news the day before, choreograph everything behind the scenes and then feed it to the masses no questions asked. The anger abates, everyone goes on holiday and by August all will be forgiven until of course the vicious cycle rears its ugly head again. Wenger is like the snitch who always goes running to the headmaster. Look at him. A fragile depressing sight, he can't even raise a smile.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Most scary part of the interview was when he said Kroenke has huge ambition for the club. I think we need a complete change in the board room even if Kroenke won't sell the club. Wenger is never going to leave Arsenal unless he is sacked and the yank only cares about money.
I think this transfer window will see our best leave and be replaced by bargin average players. Still we fucking beat the Chelsea scum. I will live on that all year

This is what fans of other clubs ("85 other clubs would love to swap places with you" sort) don't understand.Herd wrote:It’s not that we haven’t won the league in 13 years it’s more like that we haven’t really challenged for it hard since then and here in 2017 we are further from winning it than ever.
This despite the fact that in several of the last few years our rivals have been in a state of turmoil and turnover in managerial personnel and that we have squandered the very tangible opportunities presented to us to win it.
One of the reasons for it is our lack of player depth ,lack of decisive movements in the transfer market and reluctance to change our style of player to suit the abilities of our players or to exploit the weaknesses of other teams which has led us to become predictable and easily rattled !
Add to that the perennial injuries to important player’s season after season and you have the burning embers of our discontent.
Add the arrogance and conceit of Wengers rhetoric and you have Napalm to add to those embers
It's not so much the no league title since 2004 - that's disappointing but it's not the real cause of anger. It's that as you say we haven't challenged for it during this period, and moreover that the manager, the players and the board (and a huge amount of Emirates-dwelling fans) don't seem particularly bothered by that.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
A truly awful day in the club's history. Can't wait to hear how we've now got to guide all our protests towards the impossible job of removing Wenger whilst ignoring the tosser who has made the decision.
Some would say "you can't blame Stan, it's good business sense" (if you can call spunking £85m in a transfer window and missing out on £50m+ of CL revenue a good business decision).
I'd say, how can you blame Shit for Brains for taking £8.5m a year for another 2 years!

Did you notice the club vid with Gazidis and Wenger chatting amiably as if they are chums ,and we are all in it together !

Time for the uncomfortable truth, if you are in any way shape or form, financially supporting the regime you are contributing to the death of the club.
Spare me the ''I love the club'' or ''I'm an old school gooner through thick and thin'' or ''My kids want to go'' SHITE. If you renew your ST, membership, or buy any sort of merchandise that feeds into the club you are responsible for the continuing decline.
Even most of the so called WOBs on the protest walked straight into the ground after each march, what a joke. Money is the only language these people understand.

Who the f**k do you think you are lecturing people? Do you think those "Wenger Out" banners just appear in the stadium?MrT wrote:Time for the uncomfortable truth, if you are in any way shape or form, financially supporting the regime you are contributing to the death of the club.

Those same banners that have been featured in virtually every Arsenal news story since Bayern, keeping the pressure on.

I say that as a red member not as a Season Ticket holder - so it is easier I guess for me to walk away than someone who has been a season ticket holder for many years and who will know that there is a chance of not getting the opportunity again to buy another ticket should they decline this time around. The way I see it though is that if everyone was to give up their ticket then there wouldnt be a waiting list and that fear factor wouldnt exist.
I do think though that if you are going to not renew then now is THE TIME.
I can understand the "kids" argument though, that one is a bit tricky. At the end of the day we all want there to be some future fans coming through...Apart from that though there is no excuse to keep attending - you will actually feel better (and wealthier) in not doing so. I know I do ( I attended just 2 games this season down from a usual 10-15.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Mr T its not uncomfortable because it simply isn't the truth ,the club can fill the ground with rich tourists every week if they want and not a single shit will be given .Your being dramatic but not realisticMrT wrote:Time for the uncomfortable truth, if you are in any way shape or form, financially supporting the regime you are contributing to the death of the club.

but as you have said yourself it is only a handful of people with banners in the stadium as it is.
maybe better to show the banners at away games only - there needs to be a total boycott of the Emirates ASAP (this is not a criticism of you by the way - you have done amazing with your banner)
Organise picket lines outside the ground, whatever it takes - because that is the ONLY way things will change.
Re: THE WENGER THREAD
WHOOOSH. Knew there would be at least one moron who missed the point. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT PROTESTS OR BANNERS IF YOU STILL LINE THEIR POCKETS, YOU THICK WANKER.NickF wrote:Who the f**k do you think you are lecturing people? Re: THE WENGER THREAD
Nope. It's an assumption to think tourists will automatically snap up tickets. They didn't seem too interested in the match against Sunderland, did they?Herd wrote:Mr T its not uncomfortable because it simply isn't the truth ,the club can fill the ground with rich tourists every week if they want and not a single shit will be given .Your being dramatic but not realisticMrT wrote:Time for the uncomfortable truth, if you are in any way shape or form, financially supporting the regime you are contributing to the death of the club.

It's tough when you have kids, I get it. But the more things carry on as normal with people renewing, people feeding into the club, nothing will change.
When you protest the club and simultaneously financially support them they don't care, they have your money and they will take the heat if it means the money is rolling through every week.

Re: THE WENGER THREAD
So when Wonga lets our top players go for a nice earner whilst failing to sign good enough players to mount a serious league title challenge, will the AKB's still blame Wiggy for Wenger not getting the needed transfer funds?
As I've said many times Wiggy & Wonga are two sides of the same arse, they will cover each others backs like Wenger praising the syrup before the cup final.
Wonga is happy with a pay increase (what the fúck for?) & making out he is interested in league titles, whilst not demanding the serious cash needed to do the job. Wiggy is happy because Wenger is too tight to seriously spend, probably as it affects his annual profit bonus.
The AKB's will start blaming Wiggy for the lack of transfer cash spent when it goes pear shaped, but will they even bother to protest? Where are their KROENKE OUT! protests & marches?

I renew my membership because I like to go and watch MY team with my mates. Yes its shit at times (too many times), but I choose to go and bollocks to anyone who tries to tell me otherwise.
Yes, I understand that we are paying into the club and that's not ideal.
But I don't judge people who choose not to go. Even though I think, if all the people who stopped going because they were unhappy...actually did something rather than just give up, then maybe, just maybe, we wouldn't be having this debate yet AGAIN.
