THE WENGER THREAD

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Wenger has now flip flopped on FFP.
In a week where he has been under pressure about Arsenals poor start to the campaign he takes time out of his busy schedule to tell the world that ffp doesnt work and should be scrapped.

Very odd you might think especially as he was its biggest champion, that is until you realise that PSG are under investigation by eufa and Arsene has had a lucrative consultancy with its Qatari Owner.

Treble gins all round then !

Oh man, what a player he was. Club legend and definitely one of the best English defenders ever if not the best. One of the greats for me.

Wenger didn't make Arsenal but players like Adams made Wenger.

Speaking to reporters today, the 67-year-old coach was asked to comment on the growing frustration amongst fans at the Emirates.

"You [the media] work very hard to get our fans on our back." said Wenger. "And you do that very well.

Classic Wenger....
Its ironic as in reality the press give Wenger a very easy ride, some of his insane comments over the years left him wide open to questioning and ridicule

Sometimes I wonder what Wenger's end game is.

It can't carry on like this forever so does he have an exit plan? I'd be very surprised if he has because that's how dictators roll.

Seems to me that he has no idea. At the moment he's taking this club down blaming everyone else along the way. This guy is mentally unbalanced and needs to be removed asap.

He's delusion and arrogance are really from out of this world. The media probably publish this bullshit just to make him look more of a clown that he already is. The reporters at his presser must be laughing hard inside when they listen to this clown. Just hope that someone had the balls to laugh out loud and challenge this muppet.

That's a really good point. What is his exit plan? As you say his arrogance is such that he probably doesn't have one.

Think back to Caucescu on Christmas Day 1989 - he was genuinely shocked that "his" people had turned on him even though he had been one of the biggest arseholes on the planet for many a long year.

I suppose you wouldn't get to the top unless you had an unhealthy sense of self importance.

:coffeespit:

Just when you think he has reached the bottom of the barrel of self delusion he goes and trumps himself. Even by his standards this is pathetic.

He is turning us into a laughing stock on and off the field.

We are arranging a new round of protests, probably starting vs West Brom so please please pleeeeeeeease join us this time so we can force this lunatic out.
