He's never leaving, can see the signs that the players are going to try and win this, they put in more effort yesterday than they did this whole year, fucking wankers are like Turkeys voting for Christmas.

Think I hate the players as much as the manager.

Fuck it I loved it ,I'm sorry but no matter how much I have distanced myself from all the shit ,deep down I am Arsenal to my core ,to see us win away in Europe like this makes me happy,I can't help it !

I'm happy ,I hope your happy too !
Me too. Can't help it. I've lived through worse times as a Gooner in the 70s and 80s tbh and I refuse to let Wenger make me hate my club.

But....

This happiness is a very temporary and fleeting thing because I know it's a one off good performance just like the FA Cup final was in May.

The big difference between now and the old bad days is that back then you knew a shit manager would only get a couple seasons to sort it out and then be replaced if need be. Now? Wenger has a job until he wants to leave.... no matter what. It feels endless and hopeless. :|

I don't believe any of this horseshit that he will be sacked based upon a few bad results. Equally it's horseshit to say winning the FA Cup got him his contract extension. Trophies mean little to the owner. Wenger delivers what the wig molesting prick wants: stability profit and minimum spend to sustain profit.

So yeah enjoyed the game and loved beating the cheating diving scum of Milan but it's tainted by the knowledge that we haven't turned a corner or any of that old shit and are still as likely to lose silly matches as we are to win a couple big games.

For me the whole point of living through worse times i s moot because, as you said yourself, the difference was that back then we all knew that it wouldnt be allowed to drag on and that the manager being fired was a certainty - these days the defeats (and the manner of them) is much worse because it seems never ending, and none of us can ever be overly confident that the performances and results will bring change.

Btw wanting the TEAM to lose is not the same as hating the CLUB - remember the banner about hating the regime, well that is where I stand and I figure it would be worth sacrificing short term pain IF it brings long term gain

good win...but we all know the next defeat is just around the corner.

last night just showed what this group of players are capable of - so why are they not producing it more often ?
last night was clear evidence that we would achieve a lot more if they had a better coach and manager.

AC Milan are big in name only. There has been a radical shift of what constitutes a top club over the last few years & Milan do not make the cut. When we beat Milan in 2008 (Cesc 35 yard screamer and Adebayor tap in (typical)) that was a big result. However Milan are 7th in Serie A, so how can this result be significant?

Beating AC Milan in the 1990's or 2000's was a big result, just like beating Leeds United in the 1960-70's would be considered a big result. But these days it doesn't mean anything.

Doesnt matter though, the Wengerites will act like we just beat the 1994 AC Milan team and that Wenger is back on track, and everything is A-ok.

The pact that wenger has with the devil is "Alive and Well" - which means thos eof us who want him gone are fuckked.

I can see at least a Semi-final if not a Final showing in this....and so he WILL BE HERE NEXT SEASON.

I knew something would happen to destroy that feint glimmer of Hope I had begun to get with all the negativity around him..

There is Only One Arsene Wenger and indeed he HAS done a deal with the Devil.

That I can agree with, players are as much part of this shameful deceit as the wanker himself!
People pay top dollar and get a poor return on players that are indisciplined and basically do not give a fuck until backs are to the wall...
Till the next fuck up then!..

A surprising victory? Well, I thought AC Milan were decidedly average. This is what happens when a great club gets complacent. A vision of our possible future if things don't change. We're not there yet but we're not far off it.
We do have much better quality players than Milan and that showed. Welbeck needs a striker with him, he's turned into a Heskey. We need Lacazette back fit and firing.
Chambers did alright, better defender than Bellerin who no doubt was dropped after his strop.
I'd actually choose BFG or Holding ahead of Mustafi at the moment his reading of the play is diabolical.

I'm starting to feel a bit like this myself. Funny how the energy levels suddenly returned last night when playing for a place in the CL next season is up for grabs!

These players have known for a good while the league is no hoper hence those of us that travel have to endure shit shows like Swansea, Forest and Brighton but miraculously yesterday they turn in a solid performance against what should be better opposition.

I hate to look like THAT guy, but Milan were SHITE!

They got through our defence with ease twice early on and failed to capitalise. We're fortunate they didn't have a half decent striker on the pitch. As soon as we found a way through Milan shut up shop, really and that was that.

We were the better team on the night, we did a good job of applying pressure and found space well. Despite Milan being shite and no real threat, we did well to take away a 2-0 lead from the San Siro.

On a side note, if I never see Yaya Welnogo in an Arsenal shirt again, it will be too soon.

Completely agree with you!

I hold almost all of our players in utter contempt. Even more so now than before yesterdays game.

Remember beating Milan 2-0 at the San Siro in 2008(?)? When Fabregas hit that low ball into the corner and went mental? THAT was a great victory against an good Milan side. Yesterday was fairly enjoyable but no where near the same kind of class. How far both teams have fallen...
