Very enjoyable! I wasnt too worried before the game strangely. I expected a 1-0 win for Juventus but it actually made it better that the filth took the lead and then had it snatched away from them in such a ruthless manner.

Sceszny was often given lots of stick on this forum.....much of it well deserved . In spite of his obvious faults i would have him back here in a heartbeat.
With the right coaching and management he is head and shoulders better than we have plus i think he has a genuine affection for the club.

In a more disciplined structure, and with better coaching, chesney could have been a quality keeper for us for many years - it says a lot that chesney would rather sit on juve's bench than stay and play under this fcuked up regime

I don't think that is why he ended up there. There were issues at Arsenal about smoking in the changing rooms etc. He has a laddish personality and AW didn't like him. He didn't choose to leave, he was sent packing.
Shame though, because you're right that he could have been quality had he had the right guidance.

If we've learnt one thing in the champions league, the best team always wins through over two legs. We beat one of the best Barcelona teams in the first leg and they won the second convincingly. None of this better team lost bullshit. Not at that level in the Champions League.

I don't think we're in any position to gloat at the moment but I did laugh out loud a couple of times last night. They were just getting into their pathetic slow version of the Southampton theme song when Juve scored their first goal. It was like someone had pulled the plug out; instant silence :barscarf: In the last minute when lispy hit the post and the ball bounced along the goal line it was apparent they'd spurzed it up again. Cheered me up for a while.

good result for us but I am not going to gloat (too much) because this would just mean we have turned into them.

anything that continues their insignificance can only be good though.

When the old sod EVENTUALLY leaves, I shall always remember the top talent he got rid of because simply they sussed him out!...
And I shall start from his refusal to give Ashley Cole a five grand a week pay rise, and fucking Wengeristas starting bashing the guy for going to Chelsea and winning trophies!....

History does bite you on the Arse when you least expect it!....

The 30 year rule from Doktor Mengele was a smart move too....

Cole was an utter bellend about it though. I dont agree that five grand made the difference between him staying or going. He was an Arsenal fan, if you are playing for the team you love that amount of money is incidental. At that stage we still had dein at the club and we where getting to cup finals every season. I find it strange how gooners gave rvp a hard time when in 2011 the cracks where certainly growing with our ability or inability to mount a sustained title challenge.

Difference being Cole was always fit RVP had his one off season then fucked off, so I believe Gooners were right and tbf he ended up in Turkey

SAF rang Wenger up and said I want RVP, Wenger said ok. To say that because RVP is a tool because he was injury prone then fucked off doesn't make any sense to me. RVP at that stage could see the club was a selling club, that's not his fault. He was in his prime and gave Utd the title. His decision to leave was correct.

As I said with Cole, it was just as much about leaving the team you support, for the money as the glory. We did get to a CL final in his final year you know. When Chelski came into the dodgy Russians money, there was no track record of clubs buying the league in its history. United whilst a bigger club than Pool often finished in their wake.

Can't "celebrate" their exit until we get through. Would love us to win Europa League and they finish 5th.

Finishing below your hated rivals but winning a cup trophy always ends up trumps, being a better season. :barscarf: Fuck the 4th place trophies! :cussing:

Examples including 1994, 1987 ect :barscarf:
