Dennis can’t fly herd. That will stop him getting any major managerial position.

Absolutely spot on.

Codswallop ,doesn't have to be there every time and you can get to most places by road and rail nowadays ,shouldn't be a major obstacle in my mind !nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:09 amDennis can’t fly herd. That will stop him getting any major managerial position.

Re: Your Choice As Manager
1. Ancelotti - We need an experienced head to take any flak that comes his way if things dont start well, also has won trophies at every club he's ever managed
2. Simeone - defensively a good coach, would love to get to the REAL Arsenal values of not conceding and winning games
3. Allegri - as above
4. Mick McCarthy

Get me an Allegri. If not then I would like me some Simeone. Pretty please and thank you.

Got to be Allegri, Ancelotti or Simeone.
Not sold on Enrique. It just isn’t the right time for him in my opinion.

Haha, just cannot see that being realistically allowed in modern day football. Given we currently are Europa League, would be fun getting to Kazakhstan by bus! The team also fly to a lot of away games in England these days.Herd wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:40 amCodswallop ,doesn't have to be there every time and you can get to most places by road and rail nowadays ,shouldn't be a major obstacle in my mind !nut flush gooner wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 8:09 amDennis can’t fly herd. I agree totally, but if none of them I would want either PV4 or nagelsmann - the first 4 are self explanatory, but I would rather go with the upcoming young german coach than rodgers, enrique, arteta etc. I know that nagelsmann has no pedigree managing a big club, but we have been left behind in terms of coaching methods, tactics etc, so maybe a new fresh manager would help us catch up, plus maybe he comes with an attitude where he is driven to prove his value as opposed to someone else that has an arrogant "I've done it all" attitude.
Anyway as I have consistantly said, I dont need the next manager to be THE MANAGER, but I just need him to start the process of making us great again

Re: Your Choice As Manager
Luis Enrique is the Spanish Wenger in terms of tactical and transfer dealings. His time at Roma was piss-poor and very average at Celta Vigo, when it came to his time at Barca he bought sub-par players for the most part and won purely on the basis of the already existing structure (sound familiar?).
Allegri is still my number one choice. Been a fan of his since his Milan days and that's grown even more following his success with the Juve team. His in-game tactical management is very good and I don't doubt he will have what it takes to take us to the next level.
Ancelotti, the big clubs Sam Allardyce, is a manager I would take to steady the ship and build a spine/core that we so desperately need. Ancelotti's teams always challenge for success and always bring home the needed results. Ancelotti is another no-brainer.
Simeone, the modern-day Argentine George Graham, would really turn us into what we need to be. A team that is hard to break down/score against.
That's probably what I want the most from a new manager, to turn us into a team that is hard to break down and hard to get through. I'm not too fussed about all of the ''beautiful'' football played but how well we defend and how hard it is to break us down and get a result from us.

Re: Your Choice As Manager
Not overly enthused with the prospect of Ancelotti or Enrique.
Ancelotti is a 2-3 season stop gap. Enrique hasn't proven himself as a top manager with his own style and method of doing things.
While some like the Ancelotti path, I'd far prefer to cut out the middle man and get in a youngish manager with a strong personality who could lead the club for 5+ years. Klopp would have been magnificent for us. I wish we could get SImeone. If not available, I'd take Ancelotti over Enrique for sure.

Re: Your Choice As Manager
Ancelotti would be my number one choice, regardless of what state the Club was in, but given we’re a complete mess, an older, experienced head makes sense.
Always rated him, he’s had success everywhere and doesn’t have a big trap with a burning desire to be the star of the show. Has always seemed an ultimate professional. I can never work out why Chelsea got shot of him, but I’m glad they did.
Mind you, as most of you have said, God knows what our circus of a board are liable to do !
Still, we have to remember that Wenger is going and that really was the only thing that mattered. Whatever our shower of a regime decide, at least things will get interesting again.
