2018/2019 Fixtures
Re: 2018/2019 Fixtures
It'll be a boring home game against someone like Southampton or Bournemouth
Re: 2018/2019 Fixtures
I'd be quite happy with a category C game at home and not on TV the first weekend. Was a pain starting last seaon on a Friday night especially as I was in Avignon with a ropey wifi connection. This year I am back by 11 August, but would rather not start season on Friday even if it is the only time we are top.
Ideally want to play a club with a lot of first teamers returning from a long World Cup. So not Spurs then, most of them will be back at the end of June.

they might announce the fixtures next week but it will still be several weeks until it is known what day the matches will actually be on!

I will tell you this now - doesnt matter if it is a category C game at home, i guarantee that it will be on TV at a time other than 3pm Saturday.arrgee wrote: ↑Sun Jun 03, 2018 1:06 pmI'd be quite happy with a category C game at home and not on TV the first weekend. I too would be surprised if our first game isnt live on tv - first game under the new regime will have a lot of focus, and you just know that a lot of the meeja will be standing by waiting for the first signs that we might be worse than under wenger Hopefully we will have a signing or two that will raise the interest in our team, and if we are away that weekend, people will want to see if our players have grown a set of balls over the summer

Re: 2018/2019 Fixtures
Would expect our first game to be at home, as there's still talk of Spuds' new ground not being ready in time. So that would give them an extra week. Hopefully it doesn't turn into the Liverpool/Everton scenario a few years back when one had to play their first three games at home.

be quite good if that was the case - a chance to be top of the league by the end of AugustVoiceOfReason wrote: ↑Mon Jun 04, 2018 8:27 pmWould expect our first game to be at home, as there's still talk of Spuds' new ground not being ready in time.
