ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Get used to the idea Wenger is GONE - The system of how he used to choose who signed, who left, who did what, who passed sideways...who started each game no matter How UTTER SHYTE they were because they were his favourites in a team we had long stopped caring about - lead by a manger who had become utterly inept and was nothing short of a mad cuntt.

Small steady steps will see us grow strong and return to being THE Arsenal we all have known and loved since our childhood, to do so they will need to be given time and support instead of people whining and bitching all the time, simply because we don't go out and spend £300 million.. FFS!

I also think we are quite likely to pull a rabbit out of the hat - certainly the Arsenal Way seems to be to try and keep things under the radar to,throw the press and other clubs off then pounce.

Whatever happens I’m still happier than this time last season :barscarf:

Okay what would people being saying if Wenger had brought him in?
Personally, it'll be good if he can mentor Bellerin. Be surprised if he gets in ahead of Hector, unless the plan is to sell the new number 2, which confuses me as why give the traditional RB shirt number if he's on his way.
Wenger wouldn't have brought in a character like Lichtsteiner. Someone who's a true leader and a winner and won't stand for the bullshit that goes on at Colney.

That's exactly the sort of personality that Wenger hates - the type that would question his methods and challenge his ideas.

He signs mentally weak spineless pussies like Mustafi instead who will toe the line and won't rock the boat.

Why do you think the squad has no leaders? Because Wenger hates confrontation and real leaders are often strong characters and that is a no-no for Wenger. Lichtsteiner falls in that category and Wenger would never have signed him.

This. Also ironic that some of the chief moaners are agreeing with you in the Emery thread where you made the same point...none so blind...anyway well said OBG in both threads.

It may end up shit but give UE a chance

Exactly agree with this, what a lot of Gooners still think is we are a top-tier European club. The reality is to move back towards that level we have to take a series of small steps. Things are not like they were 20 years ago when you could pull Vieira and Petit out of a hat, and they hit the ground running.

Every half decent player will look for a club that is offering CL football now, not in 2 or 3 years time. We did well to get Auba in that respect.

They joined the biggest club in the world, because they were spending money on players. With a manager that always competes for the leagues, he is in, that ultimately leads to CL football as a minimum. How many times has Maureen, been in the Europa league since his Porto days?

Money is always a factor these days, but Arsenal don't pay the best wages (unless you are sicknote Ozil).

Expectations are way too high with gooners right now. Personally, I would like to see youth developed from within the club as was the case in the late 80s. That built the foundation for 17 years of success.

well said all , totally agree, I see Johnny Evans has gone to Leicester , he would be at ours now if Wenger was in charge.

There was talk in the papers the other day about Dick wanting to sign one of his old strikers so that would necessitate moving Lacazette on. I'm not overly fussed either way but I wonder how much we would get for him now - we would need to get £40m back on the £46m we paid for him which isn't great business but just about acceptable.

Don't just put a flippant comment, elaborate? What part of developing youth is wrong? What part of building a legacy, as ourselves, manure, barca and pool have done in the past? What part of we can't expect to get top tier players, even if we have got the money to buy them don't you get?

In the words of Will Ferrell “he’s an angry elf”
And as anyoneone with an ounce of iota would say...your reply (if it can be called that) is about as funny as the last 12 season sunder wenger.

For Fuckks SAKE! -

What a Bunch Of Moaning, Whiny, Whinging, Sour Gobbed, buncha CUNTSS!

Naah Naaah Naah He's too old.....He's too young....he's too expensive .... he's too cheap :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Get used to the idea Wenger is GONE - The system of how he used to choose who signed, who left, who did what, who passed sideways...who started each game no matter How UTTER SHYTE they were because they were his favourites in a team we had long stopped caring about - lead by a manger who had become utterly inept and was nothing short of a mad cuntt.

There is a new manger in place and we have an actual transfer team who regardless of anything - Will sign players we need and they will not pay over the odds for them even in this loadsa money environment that football has sold its soul for...

The signing of Unai Emery came right out of left field .. and something tells me that amongst all the transfer rumours and fake ***** news - a signing will be made that Will Surprise Everyone .... and if not!? So the fuckk What - Some on here seem to have forgotten the utter depths of despair we were in under the evil that was wenger

Small steady steps will see us grow strong and return to being THE Arsenal we all have known and loved since our childhood, to do so they will need to be given time and support instead of people whining and bitching all the time, simply because we don't go out and spend £300 million.. FFS!
