At the Chavs Ranieri has spent a fortune before him, I seem to remember them spending 30 million per player, in a time 50 million was a record signing .SydneyGooner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 1:46 pmDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 7:24 amTake your patronising hat off. All I'm saying is at the time it wasn't a particularly retarded thing to say. Mourinho was still Mourinho and not the busted flush he would turn out to be from the following season onwards.
I (and a couple of others) at the time though were saying with the money that was coming into the game he was at his end even then. It was obvious to anyone with a brain. Moron-hio was never the future. He was as much a relic of the past as Wenger was.
Like everything else that arsehole ItchyBaba posted, it was all horseshit.
Moron-hio won those trophies at a club that bank rolled those wins.
The point itchy and you have both missed was he would not have been bankrolled like that at Arsenal. So how would he have been the future for us? Other clubs were starting to get pimped and thus he was losing the one advantage he has had everywhere he's won trophies: the ability to out spend his competitors. Anyone with half a brain could see that his time was coming to an end.
Wenger fell behind because his ego would not let him admit his ideas were wrong. Moron-hio fell behind because other teams could out spend him.
If your argument was about Mourinho being a potential successor to Wenger then I'm in full agreement with you that he's best was well behind him at the time and was never the future for us. At the time I think I was advocating for Simeone who is similar but superior to Mourinho.
I thought it was regarding Mourinho's standing as an all time great manager which can't be in doubt even if you disregard his first spell at the Chavs and his time now at ManUre where he was/is the epitome of a cheque book manager. For the most part he actually didn't spend as much during his time managing at all the other clubs he's won trophies at including his second spell with the Chavs.

ItchyBaba's argument was that Moron-hio should replace Wenger as a long term successor. It would have been a disaster for us.SydneyGooner wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 1:46 pmDB10GOONER wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 7:24 amTake your patronising hat off. Also on the myth he didn't spend that much between his first chav spell and his current horror show at manure - it's not true. He spent more than any other manager in the world between 2004 and 2014:

A breakdown of his insane spending at Inter and Madrid:

So yeah I would say he is very good at buying trophies if he has the millions he needs but I don't rate him as a top manager.
As much as it is against the "Wenger was always shit" agenda on here I would say Moron-hio would never have won what Wenger won with the same resources at Arsenal.
Moron-hio was a successful manager but never a "great" manager.

Agent Moron-hio has been sacked. Shame. He was doing good work there.

Oh bugger. It was all going so well. Maureen joined a club, shouted his mouth off, blew a load of money on shit, blamed everyone else for hjs failings, fell out with all his players and staff, got sacked before Chritsmas. Who'd have thought it, eh?

Don't know why it's taken Woodward so long to pull the trigger. I wonder who they'll end up getting to replace him. Potchetino and Zidane keep being floated around.

Yeah it's been obvious since last season. And depending on CL finish etc it's gonna cost the manc filth between £17m and £25m to pay off the silly little cùnt.Perryashburtongroves wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 10:24 amOh bugger. Football. The only industry you can get paid millions as a reward for failure.
I wonder if Fat Fuck Sam AteAllThePies has thrown his name in the hat yet? Probably get him for half a million and a pint of wine.
