The harsh reality is that we have had only 3 really good performances this season...Liverpool, Fulham & tottnum. The other wins have been good results on the back of mediocre or downright poor performances. A couple of injuries to an already dodgy defence and the wheels are starting to look very loose. There are too many bang average players and some who are utter gash for us to be taken seriously. The euphoria is pretty much gone for me, I just cannot see this ragtag bunch of players coming together and going from strength to strength. In fact if Wenger was still in charge of this mob we'd be in the bottom 6.

Dick needs time & money.... I don't know how much time he'll get but he won't be getting a lot of money :( :( :(
The last line is spot on 70m budget this season and Leno.Sokratis,Dozer and Torreira especially HAVE improved the squad.Context though Liverpool two problem positions GK and CB and they have spent almost double on those two alone, our owners are not going to back the manager with the money he needs,

Tomorrow is a big game,Ozil back in the 18 man squad and probably because HM is out injured, think we can all see we need a faster start and the stat of not leading at HT is worrying.

The defense is a shambles but week in and out you can't be needing two or three goals to even nick a point let alone a win Southampton,Palace and the worst Utd team of a generation two goals against all three and only 2 points is a woeful return. The manner of the goals conceded tell their own story this season as before.

Got to start with Lacca and PEA tomorrow and we need to score early because if it goes how the rest of our matches have we are not going to find it easy as Burnley will be set up to nick something from a set piece and will have every man behind the ball and will slow the game down at every attempt. If we go in level or behind at HT I think the crowd won't be anywhere near as patient and supportive as they have been so far this season.
This statistic they keep reeling out about about how we have never been ahead at half time,or have been losing at half time is getting beyond a joke,City or Chelsea wouldn't be behind in so many games, and I know we've gone on to win a majority of them games its not what a team with any ambition should or would be doing,it either shows massive flaws on Emery's starting 11 or presumably could be down to the shit hes been left with.although if the later was the case why does he keep picking the dread-locked fuckwit and the United reject who offer fuck all,I'm not sure its a stat we should be too proud of,although i know people will say "but we showed some fight and bollocks",to which i agree,I'm just not sure Pep or Klopp would be wanting a record like that when being 2-0 up at half time is surely easier tactically than being level/behind

Dyche must be rubbing his hands together at this one,the Fat Sam incarnate will play his biggest back 4 and hit us at every set piece inside our half,it could get ugly,I like Emery but i think he might be in for a sticky few weeks,

And on a sidenote,a club like Arsenal not to have a centre back available instead of that useless c unt Xhaka is disgraceful,

The way our defence has been making such basic mistakes, I can't predict any score without atleast two goals to other team

if dick does not get 3 points out of this it will be a mini crisis and the press will smell that narrative they have been waiting to print for months.

also he may be a young player out of position but I thought maitlandniles failed to beat his man the whole game, even when we went to a back 5, then he gave up and just passed inside everytime.
Maitland-Niles was awful the other night as bad as Bellend at his worst but in fairness he is young inexperienced and coming back from injury.
yeah I am not writing him off, he just played with no confidence. the truth is we need wingers worthy of the name. as much as i think he is dodgy going backwards, kolasnic looks good in a back 5.

Kolasinac will be fit, bellerin still out.

Mavropanos and ESR back in full training.

Hopefully the worst is over and we can do this lot 2-1.

And at CB

He played there last year....Ozil starts Lacca and PEA upfront going to need another 2 or 3 goals to win this.

Wood and Barnes up front for them both good in the air set piece lottery here we come

Hope so mate...makes more sense to me decent midfield options on the bench and I really hope Saka gets the nod if we need someone to inject something out wide because a few here will be injecting something else if Iwobi comes on and produces nothing again. :barscarf:

Thanks for re-doing it, couldn’t read the earlier one :box:

Looks like all creativity coming from Captain Ozil then  unless Kolasinac gets some joy down the side ( he can do some damage at times)

It’s a poor team, other than the forward options, who will need service - a very hard fought 2-1 win

:? I would have started with Torreira and then sub him at some point if we are ahead and playing well.

Also Xhaka should just never be allowed anywhere near the Back 3 / 4.

If we do not get at least a 2 goal lead by half-time this game could go tits up. :|

It's astonishing how many times in every game, Xhaka casually and lazily passes the ball to the opposition. Then to compound it, he shows no desire or urgency to get the ball back. It seems to be an accepted thing....just another part of the "Xhaka magic"

That’s why you want Ozil on the pitch, our other midfielders could only dream of making that pass. Good goal, probably need at least 2 more!!

That ball is what Ozil gives us that Comedy Iwobi Mickey Useless and the Welsh Messi-Lite do not and can not give us.
