from BBC:

Arsenal and Manchester United are both keen on Paris St-Germain central midfielder Adrien Rabiot, 24, with the France international out of favour at the Ligue 1 champions. (Star)

I'm not very convinced by the guy so I wont be gutted if it doesn't happen, but I really believe that he will sign for us IF we are in champs league next season

Arsenal have been linked with this guy for a good few years now.

Appears to have an attitude about him that wouldn't fit well with the manager. Was put on the reserve list for the french world cup squad and ruled himself out as he "wouldn't be able to keep up with the training". Not sure how he'd react if benched? Then again if free, sign him for 5 years sell on after 1 year if he causes problems.

According to France Football, Unai Emery wants to sign Thomas Meunier. PSG want €30m for him. #Arsenal https://t.co/Ui5uOmQhMB

Didn't he talk about leaving last summer anyway, before his serious injury derailed his plans ?

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football ... er-policy/

Been a good servant to the club, but injuries are taking their toll and he should be sold this summer anyway

Sanchez return may be on the cards, given it was a fall out with Koscielny that led to the chilean moving.
I really don't know if true but it does fit with circumstances. Sanchez would fit in with Emery's style, especially if united are paying his wages to leave.
So we all moan about ozils ridiculous wage crippling us and you want us to sign an aging player on over 500,000 A WEEK.

I would say to Sanchez what I would say to ozil, "go on, off you fuck".

Dunno what the kid is like or if he is any good, but surely the club wouldn't agree with loaning any defender back to the selling club ? We need defenders NOW so waiting makes no sense

Rumours tht Madrid are willing to offer 85m for Auba

Doubtful, but if true it would be a no brainer for me - love his pace and on his day he is unplayable, but for me his unplayable days are rarer than his average/cant be arsed days, and lets be honest and admit that he isn't clinical enough anyway. The main reason I would take the offer though, is that £85m will buy us two very good players which will strengthen the overall team (like the victims did when they sold Coutinho)

Where's the next Alan Smith going to come from?
I'd cash in on either Lacazette or Aubamayang to give us a fighting chance next season because selling koscielny, mustafi, xhaka, monreal, elneny, mhkitaryan and ozil won't pay for Zaha the exact player we don't need. We've got talented young players bring them in at least they appreciate The Arsenal in a way the experienced have pissed over.

Whilst i agree the options Emery have been attrocious this season, lets not forget that he had at least some say in the players he bought and after some impressive performances from them early doors none of them have been lighting up the league in the second half of the season. Further to that look at who he went and got then hardly played from January.

Again i get the argument that few Managers could do more with the players we have that doesn't mean that i trust the current incumbent to go out and get the exact sort of players we need currently. Hence why i keep mentioning we need a pragmatic manager to stabilise things. There is a huge rebuilding job required and if it means looking for lesser known, more workmanlike players then so be it. We all knew this was going to be a long rebuilding job but i get the feeling that UE has little to no knowledge of players outside the top class ones.

I reckon we should get shot of between 6-10 players in the summer but those are highly unlikely to generate considerable amounts of cash, therefore we have to shop about to get players to replace them, i just don't think that the current recruiting department have the vision to find the sort of layers we need to start a rebuild.

Personally i'm willing to go back to the boring, boring 1-0 to the Arsenal days for a few years if it means we spend a few seasons building a solid base to the team and gradually improve over time, but i just can't see Emery accepting that as a manager, and if i'm honest i don't see many of the younger fans accepting it....... yet another legacy of Wenger, 'Football is an art form', no its fucking not its a sport about beating the other team however you can you moron!!!

Zaha is the exact type of player that we already have in abundance - sulky, petulant, and totally lacking in character when the pressure is on.

What we need are proper leaders in key positions, but this has been a recurring theme for a number of years - we probably do need a winger, but I would much rather splash all our cash and a few (2 or 3 if possible) quality defenders who have real leadership qualities (I would certainly like Tierney from celtic for left full even though he wouldn't be a leader). Again, under this regime the best we can hope for given a total lack of proper investment, is slight improvements in the coming seasons - that for me means giving the likes of smith-rowe and nelson game time next season in the attacking positions, and using our budget exclusively on defence, even if the young players I mentioned are not quite ready

Finally, you reluctantly agree with me about the young players. Willock certainly didn't look phased by the status of the match last night. Neither did Maitland-Niles. We should have seen more of them this season. Despite the desloation of last night, I'm a lot more optimistic about next season. A win would've seen players that should be offloaded, kept on. After last night, Emery looks to me as if he will be ruthless and cull the experienced bottlers who let him and us down when it mattered.

When did I oppose using some young players ? :? From the start of this season I have been pushing the argument that maitland-niles should be getting a chance in midfield, and even though I seen the merit in it, I was still disappointed to see smith-rowe go out on loan. If I'm honest I'm not at all convinced by nketieh, plus I am always hesitant to place much confidence in big physical young players (like willock) after jets proverbial crash and burn. Nelson deserves a chance too I think, although after a bright start in germany, he dropped right down.
I dont believe that winning last night would have resulted in keeping players on that should be axed - in my opinion those players will be kept cos they are overpaid and overpriced and no-one will want them, and if someone does want them they will refuse to leave their cushy life with us

Think we should have a similar poll up here, but I don't know how to set it up - polls like the one below are open to non Gooners to distort the sentiment of proper Arsenal fans, and there is a load of current players that I would like to know if fans want to go or stay
