1 of xhakas cousins has confirmed on twitter that he will be joining inter but they must meet the €55m price tag.

That seems a lot to pay them to take him on but it's probably worth it.

Seen a story earlier saying that an unnamed club had made an offer for him, but I didn't (and still don't) think it would be us UNLESS it is on an initial loan OR a deal that sends ozil to china instead (cant see that happening tbh). I really cant see us spending the type of money it would take to buy carrasco with our limited budget, unless dick knew that our funds were about to get a significant boost from a player sale (like xhaka to inter maybe ? ).

I'd be very happy with the signing of carrasco - again with our limited budget, and with so many positions needing upgrading/filling, getting top tier players is totally unrealistic, but for me he would be one of the best options from the next level down

the Chinese are not bothered about losing money on transfers.

their aim is to make Chinese football more popular in China than European football for the shirt sales and TV righst etc.

they know they will lose money on the players abd they know they'll only stay for a season or two, but it will raise the profile of the game commercially and they are playing the long game.

what is unusual about Carrasco is his young age, most of these high price players playing over there are 28+.

he's made his money, now he needs a club to raise to his profile so he can get signed by Barca or Real Madrid in 2-3 years or so when he will be at his peak.

I think its a good fit.
