Unai Emery

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Seems to be a bit of momentum building on social media and amongst pundits.
(even Augie)
Hopefully it will become more visible at home games!
Don’t mind myself if a poor home performance or two, get punished with defeat, if it gets the ball rolling!
There would still be enough games left to make top 4, given the form and problems affecting other teams!

I said at the time how fcuked off I was with him over the victims game (defies belief) and I said then that he had zero margin for error after that. Sadly things have not improved since that game and last night was apparently worse (I say apparently cos I didn't see the game), and despite some perceptions, I am not so obstinate that I refuse to change my stance when the evidence shows that I was wrong.

I still believe that we will finish 3rd but that is in spite of emery and not cos of him, simply because our rivals are even worse than we are

The one thing I wont concede on though is the suggestion that wenger would be better - it's like for some numptys the previous decade never happened    :banghead: :banghead:

Can't see us finishing 3rd, but 4th yes for the reason you already alluded to, Chelsea will probably beat us to 3rd, despite being in transition and with a transfer ban (and no Hazard), if that happens he should go even if we do get in the CL!.

Anyway, whatever happens, it is on the board (KSE) again, we wont get Allegri which is depressing because he'll likely end up at Utd, they will be hoping to buy favour with an ex-player (Ljungberg/Vieira) so they don't get as much heat if we continue as a 'top 6' club, they can stick that up their Arsenal., if they think we'll fall for that one!.

When you take into account that the team had all but given up during Wenkers final months, and that Emery presided over the most fortuitous unbeaten run in football history! Then those are pretty damning stats!
And not wanting to sound like a numpty  I do honestly believe that a washed up wenger, would have done a better job with this squad!
I can’t think of a more damning view of Emery’s tenure than that!

I just hope the owners see what we do and act on it.

If so they have to start scouting out a new Coach NOW! Start feeling out someone of quality not the Asda reject level.

Sid you are being selective in what you are making your judgement on - if the French cock was still manager we wouldn't have Torreira, Tierney, Ceballos, Martinelli etc cos he demanded and got full control over who we signed. You would still be looking at the Armenian pussy lining up alongside ozil and in front of mustafi and feeding the talents of lard arse iwobi

But to your point, I do agree 100% that emery's use of a far more talented squad has been disgraceful

Not a hope this fuckwit gets us top 4, not a fucking chance.

He botched it last season from a position it was almost impossible to collapse from but he managed it.

When was the last time we played well in the league? I’m fucked if I can remember. We play shit when we win, shit when we draw and total fucking shit when we lose.

There’s no way we’ll go on any sort of run of form or amass enough points to secure top 4. You can chalk us down for dropping points in pretty much every single away game for starters and the home form is fucking drab to boot.

You lot are deluded if you think he’s capable of anything other than mediocrity.

Emery replying today when asked why he does not play Tierney, Bellerin or holding.....

‘I don’t want to achieve the best defensive solution with one group of players… It’s for all the players.’
