As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Freddie's second chance to get things right, will he stick with the seasoned old pros or go with the young guns.....either way I think itll be exactly as predicted above
Short-to-medium term, does anybody think there is merit to trying 3-5-2 for a while?
Think about our squad and what we have to work with. Piss-poor central defence, two full backs who have potential to be excellent going forward but no inclination to defend, lack of natural wingers, a mercurial but lazy number 10 and arguably our two best players are both strikers.
This 4-5-1 nonsense that Emery brainlessly inherited and adopted without question doesn’t work. 3 at the back will give our disastrous CBs more latitude for mistakes, hopefully bring out the best of Tierney and Bellerin, bit more solidity with two CMs sitting, two genuine goal scorers up front and Ozil with a free role and two options to pick out rather than just a lone striker. Downside is having to pick 3 of our clown CBs, but it’s worth living with in my opinion.
Or we can keep playing a flat back 4 with both full backs nowhere to be seen, ineffective young wife players, CBs drowning, no structure in midfield and one of our strikers wasted out on the wing.

Brownie points for giving a shit and to giving the matter some thought but I can't help but think that whatever formation we go with our current crop of halfwits (one or two exceptions) will make a balls up of it. They just aren't good enough.
I think we should go all out proper old skool and bring back 2 -3 - 5
Haha I’m not sure I would call it giving a shit. I just had an odd moment where I thought “where the fuck would I start with this shower of shit?”
I think that’s what Allegri said in his interview
Don’t fucking start, the idea of us deciding on our next manager by way of an “interview” where whoever spouts the most bullshit gets the job is a disgrace.
