Manure (H) New Years Day 8pm
Re: Manure (H) New Years Day 8pm
Some good performances tonight, Ozil, Luis and Toreira., they all played well
Ref was shit again, really shit...how many fouls went unpunished from Maguire and Fred FFS?
Laca got kicked to pieces
Early days but Arteta has got them shaping up much better, i think they was unlucky to loose against Chavs
Good start to the New Year!!

I thought Ozil was amazing he is on another planet football brain -wise..he ran the show in the first half and chased back, closed down as well he looks a different player, I hope it continues.
Nelson will NEVER be good enough...slow, awkward, lazy twatt.

The most damning thing that’s come to light since Emery left has been how short of fitness the squad is. Shocking stuff.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 10:08 pmLuis being very honest in the post game interview....fair do's.

Interesting comments. Why were the players unhappy under Emery?
Also, is there some psychological aspect to being super fit for a constant press/high tempo game like Liverpool team? Why can they do it over consecutive 60 game seasons, but for example, the scum burned out after just one season trying the same?
Why is one group professional millionaire athletes capable of it but another not, just constant practice/training?

Still don’t think that Arteta is the right appointment, but it’s impossible to say that he’s not made a difference in the three games.
More intensity, more desire, more tempo and it’s a shame we’ve not really got the quality and certainly not the fitness to implement it for 90 mins.
Torreira looks a different player, always thought that he had a lot more to offer.

I can’t help but feel enthusiastic every time I hear Arteta speak. He has a plan, let’s hope he succeeds.

Said we can’t fully play as Arteta wants us to yet because the fitness levels aren’t up to it. Also commented how it’s so much better playing with happiness rather than the sadness of beforeIW8Goalmachine wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 10:13 pmMissed it, what did he say?rodders999 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 10:07 pmAbsolutely damning interview form side show about Emery there.

Last 4 games he hasn’t been a disaster. Which is great praise by his standards.
He has also not been particularly good and has still given the ball away needlessly around the edge of our own box.
Still, let’s not be greedy.
