Agreed and that is why I asked couple of weeks ago if it was a straight £72m fee or if that was including bonuses for reaching certain targets (appearances, goals, assists, top 4 etc). If the price was a much lower basic fee topped up with add ons, then there might exist the possibility of selling him with a reasonable price tag this summer without losing serious money - if the initial price was high then there is zero chance we can move him on without taking a massive financial hit, and we are not in a position to take a hit. Of course even if we can afford to sell him for a reasonable fee, chances are that he is on a big wedge and wont take a pay cut to go elsewhere
