A useless petulant manchild that is so moronic he slowly strolls off as we are desperately chasing a game against the clock and, when rightly lit up by the fans, tells them to fuck off. And then gets to wear the same armband that the likes of McLintock, Adams, and Vieira wore.

In an attempt to be generous, if it remains as a one off gesture in a match where our normal captain was dropped and we were playing the Dog and Duck, I'll let it pass. If it becomes something semi-permanent and he ends up as some sort of 'cup captain', then it will just confirm my worst fears about Arteta

Emery got slammed on here, and with a degree of justification, about the famous 'player vote' for captain.......and I must admit I thought that was strange. However, compared to the manager deciding to make him captain after what has since passed, it pales into insignificance. Certain people here were already condemning Emery when it was rumoured Xhaka might be making a comeback in the team - something that never actually happened. Hope those same people are now happy with him being a permanent fixture in the side and part time captain
