People keep talking about how ironic it is that xhaka could be the one to get arteta sacked, when the reality is that there is no suggestion that the fool is anywhere near getting sacked
I would love to believe that he is on his way out, but normally when a manager is about to get canned there are rumours a plenty about it online and in meeja
well Arteta is now 7/4 favourite amongst premier league managers to be sacked so there will be increasing pressure in the media on him from now on.
I think that if he loses the next 2 (highly probable) then he will go.
if he gets a win or even a draw then he may well be given more time.
the club will be desperate for him to stabilize things in the coming weeks.
Let's be honest though, if our board were willing to sack him, the next 2 games would be irrelevent cos he would be gone before wednesday. If our mindset is that lets give him the next two games, then how long can this drag out for ? If we beat southampton (which I think that we will), does that then grant him a stay of execution for another two months regardless of how shit our performances and results are ? If your answer to that question is no, then is he gonna be only one game away from the sack for the rest of the season, then why wouldnt you sack him now cos every team will lose a game at some point and we would be wasting time if we are still looking for another excuse to sack him.
Reality is that the run of results and performances is shameful for a club like ours, but what should be far more worrying is that we dont seem to have any plan whatsoever. We are gonna stick with this c.unt through the next transfer window, allow him to ship out players that he doesnt like/rate, when those players could prove useful to a manager that actually knows what to do with them
Reality is that our board should be very wary of allowing this guy to either sell or buy any players next month cos (a) his judgement is clearly shit and (b) we have limited funds and throwing them away now will make us less appealing to the next manager.
If our results and performances had any impact on our board they would have sacked him by now, so it's fair to assume that he aint going anywhere unless he walks
