As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Typical us in nutshell give a sucker a even break we did.
Xhaka under pressure shit himself well should of just slammed it against Woods arm would still of somehow been given I guess
Should of been 2/3 up anyway.
Pepe 1st var nailed on would of been given against us and rightly so, Pepe is attempting to lift the ball past the defender who initially raised his arm before AND did it more blatantly the second time.
Penalty no doubt......way our day was going would of been missed hit a divot then bar or post.
All that went on after all roads lead back to Xhaka once again with his mates Luiz the liability and Wheelchair Willian......the manager picks them all next Sunday in a game that really means sweet fuck all to any of them.
Clear and obvious penalty, not given. Even Peter Walton gave it. Marriner gave straight red as he realised he messed up the first penalty appeal.
But Xhaka, he even looks up before making the pass.
Pepe will get criticised but he made a difference in the second half. Auba, Saka guilty of missing chances.
A game we should've won easily. Very frustrated at this result.
pepe also guilty as he missed a chance, mis kicking straight in front of goal
Yes Pepe missed a sitter. Frustrating but he did five times as much in 20 mins as Willian and Odegaard combined did from the start. Might have been wondering what he did last week to get himself dropped.
Apparently it was 'proximity'. Perhaps the first one but that one was when the ball had fucking bounced and he's played it with his arm. I'm not surprised any more but the whole system is so corrupt. They need to start broadcasting the conversations between the VAR dungeon and the idiot refereeing the game. But, really, how has he not been advised to look at that? He looks at it, it's a penalty and they know it. They don't want any more handball 'controversy' this week, so they cheat and brush over it as they have done with incidents they don't want to deal with for years and years.
Anyone know if VAR is monitored by anyone outside the UK officials? Surely for it to work at Euros and World Cup it has to be consistent therefore there must be some sort of oversight? Clubs need to be bypassing the PGMOL and FA and going to a higher level, there is hardly any controversy with VAR in Italy, Germany, France, Spain etc but constantly in the EPL.
IF VAR must be used then it has to be internationally consistent and therefore Clubs need to bypass our own officials and lodge official complaints at a higher level. There is no way VAR is going to be removed because it is being successfully used pretty much everywhere else so the FA, EPL and PGMOL have to be called to tasked over how shit they've made it here.
Remember when people used to say decisions balance themselves out across the season, if so we're in for about 20 going our way in the last 10 matches
It has become the norm now for VAR decisions to go against us; whether it's one of our players being 'judged' or our goals against the opposition.
There needs to be an absolute clean-out of all those overseeing VAR - They obviously are Incompetent, and to see all the incidents where they have used VAR to punish us is too many to be a coincidence.
Regf need to account for their decisions and those overseeing VAR the same.
At least if a Ref makes a decision in the moment and gets it wrong he can then say after the game "Sorry, I got it wrong" - To err is human but to continually make Wrong Decisions when they have time to re-view the incident/s time and time again, IS "Corrupt" I can only assume they (Mike Riley and the Refs & VAR Operators) are all getting very decent bungs into off-shore accounts
We need some Gooner millionaire to fund an independent investigation, in the same way things were looked into at FIFA which (Oh! Que la Surprise) lead to Fat Blatta getting sacked.
As many have already correctly observed VAR is Killing the game, the excitement of the moment when a goal is scored has been removed and THAT is like removing the orgasm from sex.
We've all known since the game against manure (24th Oct 2004 - Forever Branded into my heart and soul) when Riley (aka: Red-nose Fergies Gimp - with a brown envelope in has back pocket) allowed the manure defence to kick seven coins of shyte out of Antonio Reyes, but gave a non-existent pen when the Granny Shagging Wife Beater a pen when he dived top end THE Arsenal un-defeated run. And then when the corrupt bung-taking, thriving , corrupt CU.NT 'retired' he was promoted to 'Coach the Refs'. He's obviously done a good job, because none of them have a Scooby doo how to Ref a game impartially and having to rely on VAR to take the responsibility out of their hands.
It STINKS
And Mike Dean is a Prime Example of the Arrogance they all have because they are Untouchable by Law.
Riley & Co need to be Investigated, but there is too much money involved - They need to start in the Far East and the Gambling Syndicates that Operate...it is a £million pound industry - run by the Corrupt using Corrupt Officials.
FUCK-OFF Riley and co and DIE Painfully of Sphincter Cancer.

looks like odegaard needs time settling in......first look he seems to be a bit lightweight...tidy on the ball not hurting the opposition enough
willian still sulking cause he had to leave the chavs....

He is an arteta type of player - look at ceballos, willian, xhaka, bellend and now odegaard and you will see players who are tidy and play keep possession football, but zero explosiveness. Martinelli is all about energy and being direct so maybe that is why he is frozen out ? Arteta keeps spouting dogshite about the team not controlling games, but his concept of controlling games involves us keeping possession by making a zillioin sidewards passes in our own half of the pitch
I’ve been banging on about this all season. Look at all those incidents.....ALL of which went against us.
Any decision that might go in our favour is analysed in seconds by VAR, anything that could hurt us is studied to death.
Anyone who thinks all these decisions are just bad luck and not part of a bigger agenda are fucking deluded.
You watch a penalty given in some other game this weekend for that exact same handball. Just you wait and see.
Umm, well tbf this has been said for years, way back the wenger supporters used it as excuses for us not getting results and if I remember rightly that was ridiculed on here as conspiracy theories.
Now it is somehow a reality and we are being singled out by the officials.
I didnt watch the game, I cant be arsed these days, I did look on here a couple of times, the reason why we lost is not because of officials, its because xhaka is a cuntslop and we missed sitters by all accounts.
I saw the picture of the handball incident and that's way to close to give, you need a reasonable distance for that type of thing, if that was given against us I'd be fuming.
Thing is Lefty his arm does move towards the ball - It is close proximity, but his arm moves towards the ball as in to control it, or stop it getting past him.
