It's fucking madness and it amazes me how a billion pound industry and its main stakeholders can accept this. I read a piece by a French scientist bloke who proved that the cameras and the angles and the frames make it absolutely impossible to tell accurately so it simply can't be trusted. They need to introduce a margin for error but they can't because that would prove it's unreliable and open to abuse. Am I right in thinking that the lines get drawn manually not by computer? If so, fuck me, it's so dodgy it's pathetic.
