Read what the papaers say? the media and TV are always praising Pirlo, there are not that many that see him for what he is, which is basically somebody that walks round the field looking like he is on drugs, but if you like him then thats your opinionaugie wrote:Swale_Gooner1985 wrote:Milan also claim Pirlo is a real footballer, which i am unsure of!

Do you ever watch football matches swale or do you go purely on what newspaper hacks tell you ? Pirlo is a gifted footballer in anyone's world except yours obviously

Sometimes words just escape me
Well one thing is for sure... Don't expect me to support the big c*nt from togo anymore! Whatever happened, HE TRIED to go to Milan, he licked their hairy balls nice and square... If it wasn't the case and he wanted to stay at Arsenal since the beginning, he would've sacked his agent for stating so much shit.
If both Adebayor and Hleb stay, it's because they couldn't get a better deal elsewhere.
NOPE! I don't want this kind of player at the Arsenal!

EDIT: No mean to disrespect you SwaleGooner, but I agree with Augie on this one. If you wonder about Pirlo's capacities, then you might as well forget about football... As much as I hate Italian Football and Italian players specially, Pirlo's definitly one of them best!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but right from the end of last season right up until today, the only statements Ade has made himself are to the effect of; "I'm staying at Arsenal, I'm happy where I am". Now I'm not naive enough to believe that that's concrete proof he was never looking at a move and I certainly don't take today's conference as a guarantee that he'll be with us for the next 3 years. But for christ sake guys, give the guy a chance!! He's done nothing or said anything (yet) to justify criticism. Also my understanding is that the so called agent who stated Ade was 80% certain to go to Milan is not Ade's agent, he is a"Super Agent" who would have no doubt benefitted somewhere from the transfer domino effect had Ade been sold for £30m.
As for questioning whether or not we really need to keep him, I find that amazing. He clearly has much room for improvement, but he scored 30 goals last season. Yes he misses chances, so if he continues to improve, as he has done each season, maybe we can expect 35+ goals in future?! He has also developed a knack of scoring in big games, something I wish our Thierry had!!

Very dangerous precedent if he does

Sounds like good news to meaugie wrote:There goes our transfer budget![]()

The way things have looked of late we were depending on sales of ade and hleb to allow us to bring in new players and now it looks highly unlikely either will leave
Never mind though cos some on here will class both players staying as good news

As I've said many times, selling Ade is ok as long as we replace him with a "super, super player" (as Wenger would say

Nope, we're keeping hold of a striker who gave us another dimension; spent much of last season up front on his own, and scored 30 goals...personally, I'm pleased

I think if I be perfectly honest I was hoping for a big lump of cash in exchange for Ade.
And then have that cash turn into a brilliant striker.
In saying that though, I suppose its a good sign that he's decided to stay.
But does this give reason Wenger reason to make little attacking impact with transfers?
