That's harsh Nutty, he might be an odious little prick but i don't think any of the extant politicians or those previous would have done any better in the circumstances, christ he'd been in the job less then 3 months when he was handed the biggest crisis ever to hit the NHS and Public Health England. He definitely wasnt the only one in the health department to flounder under the weight of this shite

In no way am I making excuses for the odious cunnt, But, as Goonermuzz rightly pointed out, Hancock having only been in the job some 3 months
was handed the biggest health crisis to hit the UK since the Black Plague (1346 - 1352?) and yes, I agree he should go and whether pushed or he jumped is the right call, However, the one's that should resign or be hounded out of office and political activity for the remainder of their existence are Boris Johnson and Michael Gove - What a pair or blue blood tory scumbags. Boris "knew" the pandemic was coming and dilly-dallied coming up with the all kinds of the lamest excuses one is likely to hear for not taking action sooner (in December 2019) and then in January/February 2020.

Proving that this virus was spreading like wild fire - and one of the reasons Johnson didn't act was down to financial reasons - the cunnt was trying to "wait & see" and so him and his simpering cronies waited too long and as far as I am concerned are responsible for the deaths of many thousands because of their utter ineptitude.

Also, I believe this pandemic is not done with the human race yet, I think there will be further "waves" - Commencing October/November - 2021, new strains will keep evolving/emerging till there will be a variant that they cannot find a solution too - maybe 5 - 8 years from now and many, many more will die globally.

Also the Chinese government should be called to book - they did what they always do and kept it in house, something that dictatorships have been doing since time began and they are responsible for the way in which it took hold of the world, all because they are trying to save face - EVIL CUNNTS.

Only now is the truth & evidence of the Genocide they carried out in Tibet beginning to be known.

Literally Millions were tortured and killed. Women raped in their thousands - Anyone who dared raise their voice were killed immediately. Tibetan Temples were destroyed and toilets were built from the rubble on the very same sites and they made the Tibetan people do all the work - or Die..

As the Chinese report states the presence of the illness was well known at the latter part of February.

I was in Catalonia for mardi gras at the time and all people in the Chinese shops suddenly began wearing masks and then closed . We thought it was because of the fiesta but they never reopened after . i am told by friends living there they stayed shut for about 6 months .

Looking back it is obvious that they knew what was happening ,so one has to conclude that if the average Chinese person knew so did all of
the governments of the western world and the World Health Organisation .

As a collective they all thought that they could ride it out but as it took hold it got stronger and eventually middle March the WHO decided it was out of hand and that they could not protect their major donor ( China ) any longer.
We had a pandemic !

At this point Hancock suddenly realised that we needed extra provisions of PPE and appointed people to obtain it and they went to the only market where supplies were available and joined the queue with the rest of the world and placed orders with CHINA .
Other countries joined the supply chain and we all bought substandard product that did not do the job it was meant to . Tthere was a shortage and the virus spread throughout Europe and normal life was disrupted for the populations of all countries.

Uniquely in Europe we had a solution which was ignored , we could have closed our borders , but as a country we are not self sufficient to maintain our lifestyle . Lorries .Planes , dinghies arrived regularly on a daily basis , The government invited it in and following Italy , Spain and france it came to us in large numbers. Subsequently we showed that nothing was learned as our Asian community continued to fly in and out bringing in the Delta ( named to save face ) variant.
So we continued fire fighting , knee jerk reacting until ,and you have to give some credit investment in an alternative strategy. ploughing money into the vaccine and for once getting ahead of the game .
However the failure to screen properly the people coming in and not preventing it's arrival is not in the gift of the minister of health , that's down to the home office , so perhaps Patel should fall on her sword as well and at the end of this mess Johnson will be removed by his own party .
He was only there to deliver Brexit and he's made a pigs ear of that , he would have been gone before now had the pandemic not made it a poisoned chalice that no-one , not even the opposition wants to pick up.

That's one hell of a post A11, and I agree with most of it. Money makes the world go round and every government in the world knows it. The reason the finger was not pointed at China was because in the main the vast supplies needed in the West could only come from there with our own nations shut down.

Shutting down the UK to the extent required was never viable though, we import far too many necessities from over seas.

Maybe just maybe the powers that be will learn a lesson from this and we will put in place methods to increase our self sufficiency but I doubt it, too much money involved

He lied through his teeth on several occasions. Allowed infected people to leave hospital to clear the decks for the influx of sick people in the first wave. Remember all the promises about ramping up testing last year?
